Ugh...I would not buy this. The art is terrible. What year is this supposed to be? The dialog is terrible too. Hoodies and caps weren't popular until the 90's. I guess you just fill in the blanks. Claws and a sword on a bike. Yeah...wow. Cash in marvel. I can't imagine this story being good. Reminds me of Fallen Angels with Wolverine put in for sales..and I like Marvel.

I usually really don't care when they make these weird teams that are in the past, but this is just turrrible

@intrn8 Yeah, I ws thinking the same thing. If Wolverine found them wouldn't they be called the W-Men?

Please don't say theyre going to time travel this group of X-Men into the future!! The present is getting crowded with people from the past AND the future! Lol

I don't know what or why this is being made. The art isn't that good either. I'll pass.

@Nomis Adams used to be good...he should have stayed retired. I think marc silvestri had the best run on x-men.

I love Neal Adams' art from back in the day (he is one of my all-time favorites, to be honest), but his new stuff is just painful to look at. And besides, why do we need to go back and rewrite history like this?

Hope420: Marvel has been milking the X-Men for every dime they can get out of us fans for twenty years or more now. I agree with the rest of what you're saying. When they get writers with good ideas, Marvel runs them off by making them drop the stories they want to do to fit in with whatever crappy idea management has (like "at the end of this event, Wolverine is revealed to be Xavier's dad") and making the writers find a way to make their ridiculous ideas happen.

I'm a sucker for Adams. You guys have to admit. You are a little spoiled. Today's artists are finally in his class. But years ago most comic artists sucked. With a few exceptions. I don't like the premise but I like Neal Adams. I never thought he would make this type of comeback after all these years. I hope sticks around more than 6 issues.

They are called the X-men because of the X-gene, not because of Xavier.

Thought Chuck named it the X-gene. Anyways, "First X-Men" is so damn stupid, not Nick Fury jr. stupid, but damn close. And the alt coverart sucks.

this could be worse than batman odyssey.....which was the biggest waste of paper and ink imo

All of you are full of it.....Neal Adams is still better than half of the artist out there and with Wolverine in it you know your going to be buying it, look at Wolverine and the Xmen...

I don't know who is inking Adams' stuff these days (and I'm too lazy to look it up), but it looks absolutely terrible. His art really isn't being done any justice at all.

That said, Neal Adams needs to stop writing. He's a classic example of a fantastic artist who can't compose a story to save his life. Batman: Odyssey was such a mess. I know this is going to be awful.

You kiddies don't have a clue what good art is. If Neal Adams is crap than so must be Barry Smith, Jim Steranko, and Jim Starlin. Your brains have been so poisoned by the awful shat they put in books these day on a shoestring budget to maximize profits at 4 bucks a book you dont even know what good art is any more.

@JohnnyKrypton- so don't buy it, so I forgot an "s", if it makes you feel better to be a spelling Nazi, stick to Superman and his boring self.
