I love Rucka.

His Batwoman, Wonder Woman, and Punisher runs are my favorite

The covers are amazing but the INT. art is unimpressive. The story seems a bit uninteresting though, not sure how I feel. Might pick this up.

The first issue was great. Rucka writes Teen Cyke beautifully, loved the dialogue and chemistry between The Starjammers, and the set up for future issues is very promising. Those on the fence about it, definitely take the plunge.

Did they explain how Corsair is still alive or is that something else that Bendis couldn't be bothered to explain?

@Kane

Corsair's return will be explained next issue. As stated by Rucka himself. :-)

Also they better not end Tyke's adventure with Corsair dying (which is the impression I'm starting to get). Although that does sound like a lead in to Adult Cyke taking over Starjammers to continue the series...

^Eh, not really. Adult Cyke is still very much prominent in Uncanny. I see this move as more of them wanting to do a Cyke solo but the adult version is too tied up with X-men/mutant matters so they went with the younger (it's also pretty much a Starjammers revival). Tyke IS coming back to Earth, we just don't know when and how they plan to keep the series going afterwards.

Interior art looks like typical Marvel overly cartoony sh*te

The first one was pretty interesting, but I'm still not sure how I feel about "All-New X-Men" (only read a few random issues), let alone keeping up with this.

I'm pretty traditional with storylines. Shaking it up in this manner usually turns me away. That being said, it was a decent first issue.

@ 8thDynasty

the internet? the x-men of the 60s have been here a while now,maybe they've had some free time to checkout some classic movies i.e star wars.

@blkchi The timeline the O5 is from is supposed to be the main one. Tyke almost died one issue and Cyke faded from existence for a short while. Cyke doesn't have any memories of Tyke's adventures though so it's possible eventually the timeline will split.

And Tyke has definitely seen Star Wars. Seemed to love it too:
