A lotta people really bash JR's work. And admittedly, his stuff on AVX seemed a bit less than polished.

I enjoyed his WWHULK series a lot. Whenever he's not trying to push-push-speed-zipp out material and takes his time with it, I think he produces some quality work.

Not bad, I didn't like the first picture they posted (it was a cover I think) but his interior work looks better. I'm not a huge fan of his art but he's not the worse artist either.

Both Romitas are two of my favorite artists. Anything Jr does I love. I really like how he forged his own style seperate from his father.

This guy is the closest thing we have to Kirby (without being a rip-off). I wish HE had drawn the Omac (52) series rather than homage-boy, Giffen.

Yeah not a fan. If you look up plain and boring in the dictionary youll find a pic of JRjrs. art.

Still, at least he's no pope or, god forbid, Igor Kordey

The only thing I hate worse than JRJR's crappy art is Caps redesigned uniform. Why does everyone have to have padded, armored, line and patchwork filled uniforms now? Not only does it look like crap, but it's way overused on every character redesign now. Like a bunch of cookie cutters at work.

His artwork is cheap. Marvel must be saving alot of money hiring this guy for his art. Maybe he can produce art real fast, faster turnaround than most? Maybe thats why marvel hired him? He must be cheap and/or fast because otherwise why would Marvel hire him for all these books? I see his artwork too much in marvel. He seems to be drawing everything. I dont like his style...it is cheap and shallow and looks slopped together. Just my opnion.

I mean every face he draws looks like he has whiskers because of his stupid cross hatching.Every face he draws looks like the drummer for Kiss. Cheap.

JRjr is a good artist when he is drawing subjects he can feel or have some connection to other than that he does tend towards mechanical boring work, at least he has the ability unlike some who's art work at best is low grade.
in some ways it is marvels own fault having so many different comics in production some could be reduced to quarterlies or premium issues reclassed to graphic novel only giving writers and artists time to produce great quality work rather than rushed ok work.

It doesn't look that bad, all of his characters just look really young though.

I've always loved JRJr's artwork, mostly because I grew up on his Amazing Spider-Man issues. Can't wait for this series, most of Marvel NOW! has gotten me pretty excited.

Normally I'm not a big fan of JRJR work, although his style works for certain comics. I was thinking of not picking this up, but I like this a lot! It's changing my mind and somehow it seems kinda fitting, an old retro pop comic with tons of action. Constant hyper realism or Jim Lee-esque pencils are kind of getting old. That being said, I would still love it if a DC artist would take a shot at this... Capullo, Roccafort... and ESPECIALLY Ivan Reis.

loved his art since "DD: man without fear" came out.

can someone confirm if this is pencils or pencils and inks? looks like inks, but these days, some craftsmen throw me for a loop (Leinel-Yu and Roccafort look like boosted pencils only, and i love it)

Don't like how the movies are bleeding into the comic, specially since the movies seem to be an amalgamation of 616 and ultimate, or it's it's own universe all together.
