The Avengers movie was a blessing and a curse!
You'd think the only heroes in the Marvel universe are these guys. Ugh.

I'm surprised there there hasn't been a deluge of people 'lettering' these un-lettered pages with funny mystery science-esque stuff. I mean it could be pretty entertaining.

Nomis@ Are there really people here too young for that? btw, you shoulda caught the "Frankie says you're a cvnt" t-shirt in Tank Girl a coupla years back. Priceless.
As for the funnybook; the only thing that made this book unique was the fact that it had the movie team and a plot that was in line with the movie. Other than that it reteamed Bendis and Bagley. Now it has none of those things and is just another Avengers book. So I'm out.

MrEko@ It is. They were so gay. For the yanks who may have missed it, check out the Rob Searle trance mix of Power of Love. I remember that being epic in the clubs. But that was after a couple of hello, now then, now thens, if you know what I mean.

Been a fan of Casseli's artwork since I saw it on Secret Warriors. I'd consider picking up this book for that reason alone except that's one too many Avengers books for my wallet. $3.99 a book ain't no joke, yo.

What did the five fingers say to the face? "SMASH!!!" Charlie Murphy would NOT have survived the experience.

Yeah, the cover art doesn't look like McNiven at all. I'm guessing he just did some quick roughs and the other name finished it. Interior art is ok. This may be the only Marvel book I continue buying as long as Cap, Hulk, and Thor still look like their classic selves. Iron Man is starting to look like he's wearing Bug armor though. Not liking that.

the play on face expressions reminds me a lot of Kevin Maguire's work on justice league/jli, in the mid 80's.

overall...i'm interested to check it out.
