New York, NY—March 29th, 2012— This July, red hot writer Sam Humphries (Uncanny X-Force) and artist Andre Araujo (FF), shine an entirely new light on an all-new, all-android Avengers team – Avengers A.I.! Spinning out of the critically acclaimed event Age Of Ultron, Avengers A.I. sends fans deeper into the synthetic core of the Marvel Universe, great for new and lapsed readers alike!

A brave new world is unleashed and only one team of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes can save us from the future. Gathered together by Hank Pym, The Vision leads Victor Mancha, Doombot, and the mysterious Alexis in a race to contain an unfathomable Pandora’s Box of destruction! And which side will Monica Chang, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., find herself on?

“Springing out of the increasingly razor-thin crawlspace between the organic and synthetic worlds comes 'Avengers A.I.'," said Axel Alonso, Editor In Chief, Marvel Entertainment. “When one of the Marvel Universe's preeminent brainiacs, Hank Pym, embarks on a long road to redemption, he must assemble a team unlike any other, a team composed of heroes that will challenge the very definition of 'Artificial Intelligence' and the way you look at super heroes."

Following the harrowing events of Age Of Ultron, can Hank Pym & The Vision lead a team into the digital unknown?

"I could not be more psyched to be ushering the Avengers and the Marvel Universe into the Age of A.I.” explained Humphries. “This book is futureshock crashing into the world outside your window. Once the A.I.s are unleashed, there is no turning back. Even the phone in your pocket could be a threat against humanity. It's an exciting and dangerous new era for Earth's Mightiest Heroes."

Each issue of Avengers A.I. features special augmented reality content available exclusive through the Marvel AR app – including cover recaps, behind the scenes features and more that add value to your reading experience at no additional cost.

This July, Sam Humphries and Andre Araujo redefine what it means to be Earth’s Mightiest in Avengers A.I. #1!

Ok, i am a huge avengers fan, but even to me this is getting ridiculous.

Maybe the company should change its name from Marvel comics to avengers comics

marvel needs to tone it down a notch...i have dumped a dozen of their books in the last month and more will go next week including all of my avengers solicitations...the primary storyline is long lost, crossovers galore are killing my wallet and DC is doing a GREAT job with their new 52. When all is said and done, I'll be reading all new xmen and GotG...thats it from marvel. Do a reboot. This is getting nuts. Is that Doom? with iron man gauntlets?

I agree get Aaron Stack on this team. No one has done much with Machine Man since NextWave or Marvel Zombies.

"DC is doing a GREAT job with their new 52."

Not that I dislike the New 52, but that's giving DC WAY too much credit. I also love how you criticize the crossovers, even though the New 52 has Batman and Batman-related characters in pretty much every one of their comics.

I was about to make some snarky remark about how "no additional cost" and "value" were bound to mean it will be a $3.99 book, then I saw that it will actually be a buck cheaper per issue. Now I feel compelled to pick this up, even if it's just for Pym and Vision.

If it was ALL android (or other AI's) that'd be cool.
They did something like that in Secret Avengers recently where there's a whole city of sentient robots.. Copies of Doombots, Sentinels, Torches, Jocastas, etc. It'd be cooler if some of them were on the team.
I'm curious to know what happens to Hank. I'm starting to think they'll do the ole 'go back in time and get young Hank, bring him to the present and let him skip over his crazy-ass life' trick.. maybe not.

Any team with the Vision on it deserves the "Avengers" label. Vizh and the Doombot will have me reading. Personally, I find the idea of a rogue Doombot to be a hilarious addition.

The whole A.I. side of things is well worth exploring... There will never be super-powered mutantsto deal with, but you can almost guarantee that someday we'll have actual, real world A.I. that will open a whole new debate on rights and morality. As such, I find it a far more interesting subject.

Can't wait for the next Avengers team, they should take old school Bucky, Rick Jones, Jim Wilson, and any other low rent sidekicks together and form a team.

What in the banana [frick] is this? An Avengers made of some of the X-Men and Avengers, thought it was cool, mutant human relations in a new era and all that

Secret Avengers was cool, I have always hated Young Avengers and then theres Avengers Arena, what a joke?!

New Avengers, it was just using the Avengers name to make people buy a book about the Illuminati but I could just about forgive the title

But an Avengers made up of robots (including a goddamn DOOMBOT?) just sounds silly and proves once and for all they are using the name of the Avengers to sell more books. Why not call it something better? What next, every title is renamed to have Avengers in the title?!
