The thing that bothers me is that cyclops is in jail for murdered prof x. Ok fine I get that, but why now?
How many other heroes have killed under mind controll possed or out of anger and never went to jail, or payed for their crimes?
Wolverine.
Wonder Woman.
Iron man.
Green lantern Jordan/Stewart.
Captain America.
Superman
Daredevil.

I hate Cyclops, god people build him up to be the god of mutants, he shoots lasers out his eyes.... that's it, lasers out of his eyes, oh but he's a master tactician!, jesus Tony wouldn't even give this man the light of day, I just dont get it or him or x-men any more for that matter, youve been good to me x-men but its over now, its time to move on. At first it was about kids with cool abilities coming to grips with a judgemental and hate fuelled world prejudice and change, now its just Phoenix saga after phoenix saga of immortal and mega powerful beings facing off against teenagers of limited ability like fireworks and jumping high oh and Wolverine of course. I'm out.....

@davidcub if your talking about the helmet, its needed so he doesnt blast his way out of prison.

@psyboy if you actually read consequnces, you would know its not just about people visting cyclops, even tho he is the root of the problem, it also explains the fill ins people complained about in avx.

@GLprime isn't that weird? Alot of those people weren't even possessed by anything either let alone a cosmic entitiy. Maybe it's because he isn't a Avengers pet like everyone one else. Especially that guy with those claw.

Now that everyone has Scott locked up NOW they want to talk. But yet again, Scott drops everything, even his distast for a dip sh*t like iron man, just to make sure his race prospers and has a chance.

That sucks, we get AvX and avengers Vs X-men 18 issue one year run total that ended with a whimper.
And now we need 6-12 more to fill in the gaps?
I feel ripped off its like buying a TV series with every other episode missing then selling you the fillers later on.

Xmen was the first comic I ever bought and it was great, I feel like they forgot their roots it saddens me.

Does everyone know that they are adding alot of filler story in the Digital copies of theses comics. I'm reading them on my ipad and i'm pretty suprised that there is so much and I'm not everyone knows. Like when Cyclops goes to the moon and finds himself in the area where they fought to protect Jean and he subconciously creates a form of Jean out of moon dust and has an entire conversation with her about keeping his head straight while having the phoenix force. If you haven't read the extra stuff i recommend it. Doesn't make me any happier but it's good stuff.

@GLprime very true man. I usually have to borrow most issues of all the avxs/tie ins from a friend. I sometimes feel marvel did avx just to milk money which sucks. Hopefully things get better with now, but will see.

Cyclops isn't being held because he killed Xavier, he's being held as a political prisoner. He is basically being called a terrorist, and is being held accountable for his actions even though he wasn't in control of himself.
I see it as a commentary upon Guantanamo bay and Omar Khadr.
No such thing as a cut and dried evil doer.

Why is Cyclops in prison again? Why wasn't Mr. Fantastic and even Iron Man arrested for the death of Goliath during Civil War? Why isn't any superhero ever arrested for anything except now?

Cyclops will never be like Magneto because he isn't rooted within his own ego. That's why Magneto became a terrorist and Cyclops is only being treated like one.
