• AN ALL NEW ARC BEGINS! “IRON METROPOLITAN” PART ONE!
• TONY STARK has returned from space with a vision of a better world.
• Who is his secret ally? What is his secret resource? Who on Earth would stop him?
• The MANDARIN is dead. He died at the end of Fraction’s run. There’s probably a reason why we’re mentioning it.

Really? This is stupid. Very bad idea. With the success of the movie franchise you would think that someone could write a better storyline for this character. No one really thought Iron Man would be an A List franchise for Marvel and now that he is they go and screw with everything we knew. Why can't characters simply evolve. Get old and die even. Its the lagacy we love and essential elements that can live on why we continue to read. I might be done....hopefully the movies can keep getting better because the comics keep getting worse.

I liked the Secret Origin story line except for Tony being adopted getting a secret brother!

I think it would have been better if they leave it as Tony being the one with enhancements.

i kinda liked the whole story of being genetically altered/engineered almost but I was expecting it to be Tony not Arno. Still dont completely know how to feel that he has a brother. But yea some of you guys are acting like they retconned everything Stark has been thru. Hes still Tony Stark, he just has a brother that was supposed to be where he is (genius taking over the company)

So in 30 years Tony and Arno have barely aged and are genetically altering everyone on earth? these guys look like villains. myabe that will be part of the story, but i don't know. this story is kind of lame

How much do you want to bet after a few months. You'll find out that Tony being adopted was a bunch of crap, and his supposed long lost brother was a ruse setup by a former villain, more than likely The Mandarin?

Sometimes I wish writers would come up things a little more creative than let's redo their origin, or temporarily kill off the character. Why can't you just come up with clever new villains or threats?

Amazing512 - First of all Marvel should care what us 'fans' thinks because we are the ones who buy their comics.

Secondly, you are right they didn't revamp a character... they just gave him an arbitrary plot twist that adds nothing to the character just so Marvel could claim a 'shocking conclusion' to sell a few more rags. Yeah... that is a great way to treat those 'fans' they dont care about.

Interesting way to work a version of Arno Stark into mainstream continuity. As long as he doesn't wear his "Iron Man of 2020" armor:

I really never thought I'd say this, in fact if you had told me I would, I would have smacked you. But...after superior spiderman, far too many large crossover events since invasion (which I still hate...damn skrulls) some of which I haven't even gotten through since I'm so behind. But Marvel...it's time...for the reboot to your main continuity New 52 style...wipe the slate and get rid of Dan Slott.
