This is Nick Fury jr. Nick Fury's son and yes he has worn Captain America's head of SHIELD outfit for pretty much as long as he has been around and this isn't really Avengers versus X-men 2 since really Cyclops and his team are wanted fugitives from what I understand. So it makes sense SHIELD would be after them.

ON a serious note, the ONLY cool thing about SHIELD... well maybe Dum Dum gets cool cred as well, was Nick Fury (Male: 6'1, 215lbs, white, grey hair at side, smokes cigars like a mother fccker, bad disposition).

What happens when you play around with something successful and try and Disneyfy it? Agents of S.H.I.T. See it now on ABCCCCCCCC!!!

Not this shit again. There are two thing X-Men and Avenger fans can agree on about the AvsX miniseries: 1) it was better off as a Capcom styled fighting game and 2) it was a long drawn out shitty story line that [frick]ed up the characters we all know and love and forced them to be act like someone else (except for Spider-Man, his scenes were the best).

Hopefully that won't happen, but then again I haven't read recent X-Men lately so I should check up on this story line to see that I am wrong.

Why is every one shocked to see Nick Fury Jr.? He's been around in the 616 for awhile now, but he has really taken the main stage after the Avengers movie came out and with Marvel Now. I am not a huge fan of it either, but accept it or don't read Marvel comics.

All this Avenger/Xmen teamup is a prelude to what was predicted by X-Sanction 2 years ago. In the future that Cable and Nick Fury's time traveler came from, the Avengers will go to war with the mutants, intern them all in camps, strip their powers, and somehow cause a great cataclysm. Possibly the event that ends the Heroic Age as seen in the histories of Deathlok, 2099, 1602, etc. Possibly the ultimatum/evolution war of the last surviving Evolutionary. There's a full on mutant/human war somewhere on the horizon.

It's all connected. Cyclops doesn't exactly remember why he went all dark side on us (mindwipe), but the Evolutionary basically gave him an ultimatum that one of the two human races would have to die.
And in X-Sanction that's exactly what Cable was trying to stop. And in Marvel Now.1, it seems that this is part of what the time traveler was warning Fury.

Please God not again. That is the new Secret Avengers team and they are missing there most powerful member in the Hulk. Whatever, i am reading Uncanny Xmen and enjoy it most of the time, but God help us if we get another semi AvX again, they have already done a couple more times since AvX ended, horrible, they have screwed up the X universe so bad, All New Xmen is a really good book, but ever since Schism when all this crap reached an exploding point with Logan and Scott, X books as a whole have not been good like they use to be, Uncanny Xforce was a great series, but even the Cable and X force series going on right now is ok at best, how do you mess up a character as great as Cable? Miss the X golden years with Claremont and Morrison, both wrote great series, so did Hickamn, and done ranting now.

How did they mess up Cable? Everything in his book seems to be going pretty classic... except for that whole part where Stryfe was insisting that he was the original Nathan and Cable was the clone.
Cable's here to stop the mutant/human war from happening, so all the terrorism makes a lot of sense in that context.
