Diamondhead is back! Too bad the same can't be said for Ryder. I hope this Sam isn't annoying like his Ultimate Spider-Man counterpart.

@ GLprime- OMG Yes He really does look like Black Dynamite, and Nova is Mad young now. Sam Alexander is a teen, around 15 I beleive. I miss Richard Rider as Nova though, he was really starting to grow as acharacter.

Jeph Loeb should not be the writer for the Nova comics! I would prefere Dan Slott, Ed Brubaker, or Jeff Parker. Anybody but Jeph Loeb!

Loeb and no Rider..... lame

HOW THE HELL IS STARLORD BACK AND NOT RIDER?!?!?!?!

Ive read the cosmic stuff, but can't remember, was Alexander a pre-existing member of the new core that got set up?

nova is one of my favorite characters, well rich rider is.i'm not a fan of this skinny nova & the creative team isn't all that.

jeph loeb has only written three good storylines batman the long halloween, batman hush & batman dark victory.

maybe if we put the word batman in front of nova we may get a decent comic.

My God ! Why Loeb ?! I'm sure DC Comics sent Loeb to ruin Marvel NOW !

What's with all the Jeph Loeb hate? The series hasn't even come out, yet. The vast majority of his work (Batamn, Superman, Daredevil, Spiderman, etc.) has been spot on, why won't this be just as good? On another note, Richard Rider is gone, GET OVER IT! I liked him, too.

Jeph Loeb gave us masterpieces like the Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Hulk: Gray, DD: Yellow and Spider-Man:Blue. But he is also largely responsible for Ultimate Spider-Man TV show. As far as I'm concerned, fire his ass. And Quesada's too.

So I've never read any Nova comics, but the new Spider-Man cartoon makes me hate this character...

So we brought back both Thanos, an Quill...but Rider gets the axe huh? Bring him back already. Any potential that Alexander's character had was shot thanks to his Ultimate Spider-Man counterpart.

No. Nononononononononononono. I like Ed McGuinness - though he's ill-suited to cosmic stuff - but Jeph Loeb is poison for Marvel.

I despise this incarnation of Nova. Its just Marvel/Disney trying to create a brand for the twiner kiddies out there. The rest of us WHO GREW UP with Rich Rider find this almost laughable. It took DECADES for Rich to go from also-ran to gritty powerhouse superhero and right at his peak of power the offed him. Ridiculous. Bring Rich back and let this little punk serve as an occasional helper int he Nova Corps, or better yet keep this snot-nosed punk of of the books and on the Disney Channel where he belongs.

I like Rich Rider Nova...NOVA PRIME. Ripping Anihulus inside out, going toe-totoe with Silver Surfer, beating the hell out of anyone who came across his way.

RICH RIDER. 'NUFF SAID.

Instead of saying "It Starts Now", It should read "It Ends Now" because that will be my "jumping off" point after 40 plus years of buying and collecting comics. I dropped DC when they kicked me and my heroes to the curb and now I will do the same with Marvel. Got plenty of back issues to start reading.
