COMICS: Marvel Reveals Another New "Marvel NOW!" WOLVERINE Series

Many fans were left baffled by the "Snikt" teaser as it was thought that Wolverine would be starring in only Frank Cho's Savage Wolverine. However, it has now been revealed that Paul Cornell and Alan Davis' Wolverine will be the core title. Check it out!

iFanboy have confirmed that next March will see the release of Wolverine #1 from the creative team of writer Paul Cornell (Captain Britain and MI:13) and artist Alan Davis (Fantastic Four). "I think it’s actually quite strange that he’s this normal, down to earth guy who likes to have a beer, someone you’d trust to run a school, when he’s been alive so long, had so much happen to him, be, actually, such a weird being," Cornell tells the site. "I think he values that normality highly, that he fights for it. So this is the action series title where we meet him in his New York context, with many non-super hero friends (like Claremont always had the X-Men know), part of a community of professionals, a very civilized man of violence who’d prefer to be a man of peace." Be sure to click on the link at the bottom of the page to read the interview in full.

• ALL NEW ONGOING by superstars Paul Cornell (CAPTAIN BRITAIN AND MI:13, Doctor Who, Action Comics) and Alan Davis (AVENGERS, CLANDESTINE, EXCALIBUR, UNCANNY X-MEN)
• Hunting Season, part 1.
• A new enemy sets its sights on Wolverine…though Logan doesn’t know it yet!
To save a little boy, Wolverine must make a terrible decision that will haunt him.

He is civilized? Wait, he is a headmaster, lectures people on killing and now he is civilized and is hanging out with everyday people??

If I knew how to post a gif I would absolutely be rolling my eyes right now

Is this the book where the respectable, conscientious Logan finally meets the unpreditable, bloodthirsty Logan and they try to figure who's the original and who's the clone?

I mean, that WOULD explain a lot...

I dont understand how Marvel (or any comic company) can justify having one character in multiple books. That alone destroys continuity, How is Stark supposed to be in space and in the Illuminati and an Avenger? How is Wolverine doing his own book plus like 3 X book and be an Avenger? They have so many "clones" (WarMachine, X-23) there shouldn't be a reason for this. DC does the same thing with Batman. SMH

I think I might skip Savage for this. Cho's art is excellent, but I'm not convinced of his writing. Cornell's pretty damn good + Davis's artwork means it's a total buy. Instead of complaining about the character having 2 books, the best thing to do is either read one or neither. Whining won't make it go away, though I do agree with Hush2010's comment.

To the people who complain about Logan being civilized and a teacher - I haven't read more than a few Wolverine comics, but isn't it possible the character has experience growth? Does he have to be violent and savage his whole life?

@Hush2010.

Because they're fictional characters. "Continuity" and "canon" are arbitrary.

STARKANTHONY

Some CB fans cannot accept change with alot of characters. They want thing to remain the same for all eternity. I actually like Wolverine's character development. He's still brash, but has more self-control, instead of some animalistic loose cannon with an extremely short temper.

I stand corrected by a comment that I made yesterday about Iron Man being overused more than Wolverine lately. I think they are being pushed in our faces equally so right now.

I want wolverine to be back to what he was, a jerk that cares and will do anything to get the job done.I can't remember last time he went on a berserker streak. Ever since he got his memories back I feel he's been getting soft, in the x force series he was the least violent I remember a pupae of issues warpath killed more guys than wolverine did.

Sigh..was hoping it was x-23 or daken. Two wolverine titles are so unnecessary, especialy if he's featured in like every title, ha.

Gee, thanks for finally giving this underexposed character the chance to finally get the spotlight. They might as well have Wolverine appear in every single title for a month.
