Don`t want to sound redundant, but they`re running out of ideas. Let me guess: Ock is gonna "delete" Peter Parker from "his" brain, only for Parker to reappear again at the end of the issue (or in the next one). Could we please have our normal Friendly Neighbourhood Web-Slinger back without all this stupid sh*t?

Peter needs to be back.

I know that was a joke but Jon Hamm would be the best choice to replace RDJ.

Ah, lemme guess... They're killing peter again. And, uh, by the time TASM2 comes out, they'll bring him back. No surprises here.

Remember what that dumbass Steve Wacker said? "Peter Parker fans will fade over time." It goes to show how little respect Marvel has for their most iconic character.

Everybody needs to die at some point. Why drag it out. Just gets monotonous.

That seems like the headline is drawing a lot of conclusions yo quickly. Sorry haters, its unlikely to end to soon.

Ock removes Pete's consciousness from his mind, Pete figures out a way to bail completely from his body before ock can destroy him and lives through machines (probably ends up taking over the living brain) starts plotting a way to take his body back still retaining memories from Otto. Without Pete's moral center, Ock descent grows even worse. Destroying Peter's relationship with Aunt May and Mary Jane. Ock ends up leading JJJ to hating him again realizing Spider-Man truly is a menace. Ock gets into an epic brawl with Gobby while Pete takes his body back behind the scenes and ends up saving the day using the groundwork Ock has built for him.

Or you know know... maybe the "Shocking" thing is Shocker come in to save the day lol

You know something though an epic battle of wits between Otto, Pete, and Normy without the three of them even realizing all the players involved wouldn't be a bad way to end the run, but that's just me.

I think the hate for this book is ridiculous. People complain about Pete dying, then people complain about the predictability of bringing him back, then people complain that they haven't brought Pete back yet and let this run drag on even longer, then people complain that they're bringing him back this soon. Seriously of all the people b*tching about the series, which of those here has actually picked up an issue of Superior? It's not a bad story at all. I will admit that Slott is far from being the most brilliant writer at Marvel, but honestly I find the story is still damn good as is Yost's current run on Avenging.

@ReillyParker

I agree completely.

This has been a great story. It's classic Spider-Man -- a battle AND a battle of wits. It's also classic sci-fi -- the whole battling for control of one's mind thing goes waaaay back.

This is the best Spidey's been in about a dozen years. Getting into this story, I went back and read Slott's earlier Spidey stories. Yeah, not so great (Ends of the Earth was awful), but you folks should check out Spidey 698 and read from there. It's good stuff.

@Phlegmbot

I didn't find Ends of the Earth awful. It just could have been SOOOOOO much better. A sinister six showdown all over the world with Spidey as Global enemy #1. Slott could've done so much more with that and he didn't. That's what was disappointing. Still the story has some incredible moments regardless (Rhino, that's all I gotta say). Slott has great ideas but he glosses over what I think could be some great character moments and focuses much more on external conflicts instead. No one on here will ever admit this but he does have a great grasp on Spidey and his history (I mean come on THE LIVING BRAIN, that's classic spidey). He gets that Spidey is all about Weird Science and does a great job playing that up. The biggest problem I always have with Slott, just that he could have always done more. His writing on Superior has been the best he's ever done though, that I will admit, but I think its because he knows he'll have to wrap up the run soon AND he's got to keep people interested since its an idea so many people are resistant to. Every issue he's selling this idea of Ock as Spidey being something you want to keep reading about, and so far he's sold me. It just sucks that most others are so quick to judge.

the book could have been good IF One more day never'd happened....

other than that, nothing really great here, nothing "classic" nothing "spectacular" neither "amazing" and obviously nothing "superior" about this title, I'll be happy if they cancel or just bring Peter back and reckoning that AWFUL 'saga' that was OMD..

yes !!!

I'm still holding a grudge !!!!

and for that along I have not been buying this title, (maybe reading it for free) and trust me when I say, WE have not been missing much...!
