Dan Slott is doing an amazing job, *Cue the haters*

Now hold on a second... Of all the gloriously heroic things Spider-Man had done for New York - nay, the WORLD even - and JJJ has always been anti-Spidey regardless. Then Doc Ock has 2 days on the job, returns some LAB EQUIPMENT, and suddenly he's had a complete change of heart?

That's just crazy-town banana-pants.

I was reading what someone wrote on here if Spidey/Doc Ock were to sleep with MJ, and if that would be considered rape. I mean everyone knows MJ would never consent to banging Doc Ock. Not sure if that would be considered rape? But if so then Marvel would have another rape debacle just like Mrs. Marvel back in the day .

@Ashdm

Its because he pucnhed scorpions jaw off when he was attacking jameson and peters friend. He likes this ruthless edgier darker spidey.

^Good. I was afraid that Spider-Man was getting it easy lately.

Sooooo let me get this straight. Spidey has done incredible heroic things for millions of people, and contiunues to be labeled as a menace. Doc Ock gets in his body pods a guy nearly to death, and gets labeled as a hero by the man that first starting calling him a menace.....Regardless of what you feel of the SSM storyline, that part right there is just [frick]ing ridiculous to me. Damn I'm glad I'm mostly an Ultimate Peter/Miles fan.

Really would like for Peter to just come back already. I know it's been two issues but I can't take much more of this.

Oh, and "crazy-town-banana-pants" is my new catchphrase.

@VIRILEMAN Nah that title goes to joe quesada. This is just a bad story, OMD goes against what spider-man stands for which is responsibility. Making a deal with the devil is the most irresponsible thing you could do, not to mention he just throws his wife to the side.

Is that Aunt May??? Oobly Doobly, talk about a 180. She looks younger than she did in the pages of Ultimate Spidey. In the next issue of Superior Spiderman, Aunt May has a new boyfriend and he's ... beane2099? (The upcoming event or with Spidey 2099 starts here folks!)

First issue was such a huge dissappointment, kind of ridiculous that they show the back door to this whole mess in the very first issue. IMO it shows that they dont have faith in this at all which just leads to the question: why is this necessary? Yes they say its gonna last over a year but i hope slott steps it up because the first issue was mediocre at best

Stegman's art is AMAZING tho, love it...but then again ramos is coming back
And his art is...meh

Somebody call the WHAAAAAAAAMBULANCE

I like 'Superior Spider-Man'. Just like many of our other favorite super heroes, someone else dons the mask and takes over once in a while.

You can kiss my grits.

They should have waited to introduce Jedi Peter, now that we know that its going to end up in an epic mind battle. It won't be that surprising. It's like someone telling you that vader is Luke's father before the movie starts. (If no ones ever seen it or the prequels.)

Is supposed to be soooo odd that it catches your attention and you remember it.

Later several issues from now when Octospidey says "crazy town banana pants" it will all come together.
