Did King Thor just castrate Galactus?

They killed Toothgrinder and Toothgnasher, unforgivable. Seriously great series though, art and story.

Necro-Thor? Eater of World Eaters? Awesome!

@OdinSon

Marvel Studios don't know what they are doing with Thor. You say that Avengers was the best "Thor movie", yet he was nerfed big time in that movie.

Really REALLY love King Thor.

Would love to see Marvel take on some of these properties in the cinemas...
King Thor, Spider-Man 2099, eXiles, etc...

Please, give us at least one more scene with Thor and his helmet on, [frick]...cover looks great!

Thor BETTER battle this guy in Thor 3!

Marvel Studios is doing a great job with Thor.
---

Haha! That's why he doesn't even fly in his own movies. Thor was only great during his battle in Jotunheim.

@ThePowerCosmic I disagree. While Thor is enjoyable, and The Dark World is utterly dense (yet can be enjoyable), they have yet to give me the real Thor.

@Ramiel Exactly! That was full beast mode. That scene was perfect and really showed what he can do. I have yet to see Thor reach that power level again.

Anyways, I'm on issue 16 with this. LOVING it so far.

@OdinSon

I doubt you'll see any behemoths like Ymir, Surtur, Celestials, Midgard Serpent, etc in any of Thor's movies. I think MS will stick with the sizes like the Frost Giants, Destroyer, Executioner, Ulik, and Kurse.

all i can say is that. galactus looks cool as [frick] all damaged up like that. and the girls of thunder are lame as [frick].

Thor 3 needs to be about Ragnarok, although they haven't introduced Balder yet so they'd better work him in rather quickly.

Thor flies in the films all the time

Haha! Falcon in Cap 2 alone has flown more than Thor has in 3 movies.

These are the only times we see Thor fly in the movies

@Remy

Flying off screen doesn't count. And he has been nerfed tremendously. The Thor who laid waste to Jotumheim is missing.

Why? Do you have to be a dick in 99% of every post you make?

How old is Thor at this point, 15,000 years old? A few Granddaughters are to be expected.

Also, in the Battle in Jotunheim, Thor's blows were sending Frost Giants flying all over the place. In TDW, his blows on the Marauders and Dark Elves barely had any knockbacks.

The Thor movies are mad underwhelming. Of all their heroes, Marvel Studios does not take Thor seriously, which is sad. The movies focus FAR too much on comic relief. Why the [frick] does Darcy have more screentime than the Warriors Three, Lady Sif, Heimdall, Tyr, and most of the Asgardian characters??? Why? Because Marvel is too chicken shit too give us a balls out, epic fantasy Thor movie. Hopefully I'm wrong and Thor 3 gives us the REAL THOR.

BlackPhillip - 6/15/2014, 9:24 AM
"Thor's battle with malekith was epic."

No, it wasn't. That battle was very short and hardly any blows were delivered. Thor hit Malekith only 4 times.

"Also you want to see Thor laying waste to cities like in man of steel? Lol. We all know the issues that went down on this site due to a murderous superman."

Two different characters w/ different set of morals.

"Of all their heroes, Marvel Studios does not take Thor seriously, which is sad."

Even in the comics, Thor isn't taken seriously. Characters like Sentry and Hyperion have higher priorities than Thor. The only reason marvel NOW's Thor is getting any respect is because he has move tickets to sell.
BlackPhillip
BlackPhillip - 6/15/2014, 9:29 AM
"If that's the case what's the point of having the avengers?"

Thor doesn't need the Avengers.

"What's the point of having the warriors three? What's the point of having odin?"

None of those characters are being used well in the MCU.

While I do feel Thor is watered down in the movies, I have more problems with the overall tone of the Thor films. A Thor films should be in the same thematic vein of The Lord of the Rings. Focus more on Asgard and its culture, politics and people. Give us Game of Thrones meets LOTR that is what Thor should be, not a scifi action comedy.

Funny considering that Norse Mythology influenced LOTR.
NightForce
NightForce - 6/15/2014, 9:35 AM
Like @OdinSon2k14 said, where are all of the epic, giant monsters and gods Thor regularly clashes with? Movies like LOTR, The Hobbit, Wrath of the Titans, hell even Percy Jackson give us dragons, giants, giant fire titans and other mythical creatures that we have yet to see in the Thor movies. But the Thor movies give us 10 ft Frost Giants and Space Elves *yawns*
NightForce
NightForce - 6/15/2014, 9:39 AM
I've said it before, but I think Chris Hemsworth will make a more badass Thor when he's in his late 30s/early 40s. Like Hugh Jackman with Wolverine.
