Ex Nihilo is a bad ass. I'm digging how that character is written and how he composes his words.

SPIDER1489

Agreed. I like the way Opeña draws Captain America's new suit. It would be badass onscreen.

@ToTheManInTheColdSweat Thats Shang-Chi, not wonderman.

Hyperion vs hulk, can't wait to see that. As I can tell from the preview, banner looks scared shitless of hyperion, haha.

Also loving the new captain universe, don't know if its monica rambeau tho, as she's already part of an arc in captain marvel.

@ bandido
Yeah I loved all those recruiting panels lol! This book has so my h potential. With hulk, Thor and Hyperion they better have some big baddies. From what I understand Ex Nihlo should be a great villain.

@grayfox117/cipher/vondoom29 --- Enjoy #3 my friends, because apparently Opena has Silvestri-itis and is not drawing issues 4-6 (at least)...instead we have the runt of the Kubert litter, poor ol' Adam, taking up "art" duties...

It's Hyperion but from yet another Earth.. Not exactly the one you've known before..
not sure if the new Captain Universe is Monica Rambeau or not.. It'd be cool if she is.

If you've never read Hickman's run on Fantastic Four you should seek it out. Great stuff.

I collect both this and uncanny avengers. Why is caps costume different in both? Artistic discretion? Also a problem with all these series' is how do we know whats important?, so many teams so many different stories.

Oh please let that be Monica Rambeu... I love seeing new characters and all but seriously? I would love to see her come back to the Avengers AND she is one of the few people with the power to pull off the Captain Universe title.

In Avengers #1, we see Cap put on his new uniform for the first time, before that he is wearing the older one. So it actually creates a timeline with any appearance of him wearing his new costume taking place after Avengers 1... Since the Uncanny Avengers are still forming the team in their series and it is taking place before Avengers 1, I wouldnt expect them to switch over his costume till the second arc.

Although Xiim, caps costume in uncanny is different to his classic look it has covered ears and knee pads. Maybe things just dont line up.

I would probably chalk that up to artistic license on the part of the Uncanny Avengers artist... I am also certain we are going to see plenty of problems with why certain characters are wearing old or new costumes in issues to come due to miscommunication with artists. Still we do know that Uncanny Avengers comes before Avengers chronologically, and thus before the first time outing of this Captain America suit.

One of the other things to take into account with this series is that Fraction has said that at least for the first year of his Avengers run its going to be cut away from the rest of the Marvel Universe... he will be focusing on the story with this team and not worrying about how it ties into other series. So that too is something to keep in mind.
