UPDATE: Mark Millar Auctioning Off A Character's Name In JUPITER'S CHILDREN For A Good Cause

The always generous Mark Millar (Kick-Ass, The Ultimates) is offering one fan the chance to have a major character from his and Frank Quitely's (Batman and Robin) Jupiter's Children named after them. The proceeds will pay for the kids from his old school to see a show this Christmas!

As he did with the majority of his past creator owned characters, Mark Millar is offering one lucky fan the opportunity to have their name featured in next April's Jupiter's Children. The series has been described by the writer as being as epic as Star Wars or The Lord of the Rings and tells the story of a group of superheroes who received their powers under mysterious circumstances in the 1920's and their children who fail to live up to their legacy. The money raised from the auction will be donated to Millar's old school and will pay for the kids who currently go there to see a theatre show this Christmas. "It's something I'd like to do every year and expand into other schemes in the community with a few other ideas I have," Millar says. "Some of the kids had never been to the city before and when I went back to my old school to hand out prizes last summer they all told me how much they enjoyed it." Click HERE to bid in the auction!

UPDATE: The auction came to an end today and it raised an impressive $3,550 for the kids. Below is a Tweet from Millar in which he reveals the name of the generous fan who won the auction.
