Looks like that NBC Constantine series really will happen as Deadline reveal that a pilot episode has been ordered. The show will be produced by The Mentalistt executive producer Daniel Cerone and, the man who now very much seems to be DC/WB's go-to-guy, David S. Goyer. Constantine (which looks to be the title for the time being) centers on John Constantine, an "enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond". The character is also expected to pop up in Guillermo del Toro's Dark Universe (an adaptation of the Justice League Dark comic book) and of course was already featured in his own movie starring Keanu Reeves - though I'm sure we all hope that the next incarnation will be a bit more blond..and British.
