It's book by Cormac McCarthy. It's sbout a man and his son in a post apocalyptic world. basically follows they're journey as they heaqd south for the winter. I have'nt finished it but so far it's pretty bloody good! He's the guy who wrote 'No country for old men'.

The Road looks good, I love post apocalyptic things like Jericho and Jeremiah. I do hate trailers, when they use stock sound cards, that scream at 2:02 I hate when they do that.

Ror@ c'mon man your better than that.......not funny :(

MarkCassidy - 7/18/2009, 6:33 AM
lol, sorry superdog i mistook your original comment as sarcasm! Liberal Hollywood? Should they show the soldiers returning with big grins on their faces, slapping each other on their backs then? Its one persons viewpoint and clearly one characters story. If you genuinely believe that all the boys are coming home just fine and dandy then i don't know what to tell ya pooch.

Wards, its just the [frick]ing comments section dude! Jesus who pissed in your corn flakes?

ror@ i don't believe they are ALL coming home fine and dandy, but it would be nice to see a movie where troops come home with smiles on thier faces, proud of thier jobs, and thier country, as probably 99 percent of them come back that way. yet i doubt we will see that film from hollywood. instead hollywood will continue to give us these films with this alleged "one persons" viewpoint. i have several close friends that are active and reserve that have spent several years over there and a movie detailing their normalcy would be great. and if you honestly think hollywood is not liberal and does not wish to show those kind of movies then i dont know what to tell YOU ror :)
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 7/19/2009, 3:30 PM
Hollywood is only as liberal as the person making the movie! There are all viewpoints shown in various movies. I think the vast majority of people are anti war anyway to be honest, or at least, not pro war!
superdog
superdog - 7/19/2009, 4:10 PM
Nobody is pro war. Except our enemies :) but I haven't seen any opposing view point movies. Just the anti-war movies. Which is fine. Everyone can make there own movie. But it's not just one persons movie ror, you know that. It takes writers directors actors producers and studios. So saying it's only as liberal as one person is not quite accurate. And if most people are "anti-war" (code for anti this war, I'm pretty sure they were ok with us entering WWII) then these
Movies would make tons of money. But I take solice in the fact that they all bomb. Maybe they need more farting robots and humping dogs. Or, maybe............RYAN REYNOLDS :)
