SDCC 09: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - 2 More Playable Characters Revealed!

At a pre-Comic-Con International: San Diego press event, Activision have announced TWO more X-Men related playable characters!

GAMBIT and JEAN GREY (PHOENIX) have been announced as the two latest additions to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2!

The current playable characters list now reads as follows:

Captain America
Daredevil
Deadpool
Gambit
Green Goblin
Hulk
Human Torch
Invisible Woman
Iron Fist
Iron Man
Jean Grey
Juggernaut (Pre-Order Exclusive)
Luke Cage
Mr. Fantastic
Songbird
Spider-Man
Storm
Thing
Thor
Venom
Wolverine
3 Unannounced

However, don't worry if your favorite character isn't on the list. Activision also announced they plan on downloadable content, in the form of other characters, in the very least. PS3 gamers won't be left out this time, either (extra characters were Xbox360 exclusive in Marvel Ultimate Alliance).



Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will be available September 15, 2009 on PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, and Xbox 360.

oh man i cant wait for this game juggernaut is gonna be kick ass and now gambit this is lookin to be the best comic book video game ive seen or played

Archangel should be a playable. I don't think he has ever been a playable in any dungeon crawler type Marvel game. I think he was a semi-boss in X-Men Legends 2.

I'd trade Nightcrawler for Deadpool. Although he was part of the story in the first one, it still sucked that you couldn't play him until after the downloadable content came out. I'd rather Nightcrawler be the playable teleporter from the start then Deadpool.

hold up i think we get cloak i dont know about dagger though cause i saw cloak in the trailer along with she-hulk, one of the young avengers,bullseye,ladydeath strike,and multibleman(hope i spelled that right)ohh and i think firebird idont know i forgot her name but she was on spiderman and his amazing friends

WOW..I'm STILL playing Ultimate Alliance...love it! I can't wait till this breaks out. I wish Marvel followed some of these designs up on the big screen, Venom looked *sick*.....

Anyway, this has my vote. YES
