Transformers: Robots in Disguise place years after “Transformers Prime,” when Bumblebee is summoned to save Earth from a new faction of Decepticons and assembles a rogue team of young Autobots that includes a rebel bad boy bot, an elite guard cadet, a bombastic Dinobot and hyperactive Mini-Con to capture their new enemies. Each new bot is a fully capable action hero but inexperienced in working together in a team, forcing Bumblebee to become both squad leader and coach, Hasbro said. The show will feature voice actors such as Darren Criss, Constance Zimmer, Mitchell Whitfield and Ted McGinley. Also from the article: "[the] creative team includes kids programming vets Jeff Kline (“Transformers Prime”) as executive producer; producer Adam Beechen (“The Adventures of Chuck and Friends”); and Steven Melching, a writer on “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” who will serve as the show’s story editor. - Variety

Transformers Prime and War & Fall of Cybertron were some of the best forms of media in the Transformers franchise

The art style's... different. Reminds me of Tron: Uprising.

I don't think we can judge it just yet.
Granted the animation style is...odd.
But that doesn't affect the story and characterization.

Not a huge fan of this at first glance. It definitely seems to be geared more towards kids as opposed to TF Prime. Which, I understand that kinda had to do that since Prime was extremely dark. If the writing and characters are good, I'll watch it.

the designs look a lot like Transformers Prime. Makes me wonder if they're linked in some inconceivable way.

When will Hasbro learn that people are sick to death of Bumblebee?

@MrPrime
I had read somewhere, awhile back, that this show was supposed to be a "sequel" show to T: Prime taking place many years later.

---

As for the art style, I much preferred T: Prime's style.
Heck, even T: Cybetron had very good art style IMO. Probably a big reason why all the Transformers toys I've owned were T: Cybertron version. I just loved watching T: Cybertron right after coming home from school.

Transformers Prime was great. Why did they discontinue it??? the 3D medium is perfect for a Transformers show.

I most of the time prefer traditional animation. But after seeing this trailer I want the style of Transformers Prime back. That series was also really great. So this series has a huge mountain to climb over. Right now it doesn't look like it will be as good. But I hope I'm wrong.

I loved Transformers Prime, and I loved the design of Transformers Prime. I hope that this show doesn't disappoint, sorry to see the art falter a bit. But who knows, I'll give it a chance.
