DEADPOOL 2 Crash Victim Named As Joi “SJ” Harris As Star Ryan Reynolds Shares His Condolences

Some more details on today's tragic events on the Vancouver set of Deadpool 2 have emerged. The stunt-driver has been identified as Joi “SJ” Harris, who was working on her first film as a stunt performer.

Earlier today we got the awful news that a stunt person had been killed after losing control of her motorcycle on the set of Deadpool 2, and now some more details on the situation have emerged.

Deadline has learned that the deceased was named Joi “SJ” Harris, who is billed as the first African-American female professional road racer. As we figured, she was doubling for Zazie Beetz' Domino character for the motorcycle sequence, which was actually her first official movie stunt.

Ryan Reynolds sent out the statement below in response to these tragic events:
