DEADPOOL 2's Rotten Tomatoes Score Has Been Revealed

As has now become commonplace, Rotten Tomatoes has officially unveiled the score for Deadpool 2 but how does it stack up against the likes of Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, and 2016's Deadpool?

Love it or hate it, Rotten Tomatoes has become an important tool for casual moviegoers to help them decide whether or not a movie is worth checking out. Being given a "Rotten" score can spell doom for many releases and being "Certified Fresh" can often help in terms of box office success. Right now, it appears as if Deadpool 2 will fall into the latter category as it has a rating of 85% based on 65 reviews.

55 of those are Fresh and only 10 are Rotten and Average Rating is 7.2/10. The Critics Consensus, meanwhile, reads: "Though it threatens to buckle under the weight of its meta gags, Deadpool 2 is a gory, gleeful lampoon of the superhero genre buoyed by Ryan Reynolds' undeniable charm." So, it seems the pop culture references were a little too much for some but far from the end of the world.

In comparison, 2018's first superhero movie Black Panther has a 96% score and Avengers: Infinity War has 84% (however, that's based on 320 reviews - it's still very much early days for Deadpool 2 in comparison). The signs are all pointing to this sequel being "Certified Fresh" and we'll be sure to let you know when that happens. What score do you think it will end up with? Share your thoughts below.
