How would you all compare Deadpool 2 to the first film?

Imo, they're pretty close but I'd put the first on top. I think Deadpool 2 had the issue of running gags that overstayed their welcome and a bit of wasted potential with certain characters, but I think it's a lot better at defining Wade Wilson more and making him more well-rounded and three-dimensional than the first.

@Spodermug - Im kinda struggling with this "make him 3 dimesnional" thought because obviously with most characters you want that. And maybe for a movie, it has to be there. But Deadpool always seemed like this literally insane character who was just too out of his mind to really function well with the rest of the characters. It's kind of what made him, Deadpool. I dunno.

@Spodermug - i thought it was as good as the first

@Kman - I see what you mean, although I feel as though Deadpool 2 did more to humanise Wade. I think it struck a good balance between that and the more chaotic, dysfunctional side of the character. Shows a bit of an arc developing for him.

@KWilly - Memes are always from old content. We're reaching the point where we're resurrecting old memes in general.

I'm definitely picking up the Logan and Predator copies just for it. And hell, never thought I'd say it, but I'm tempted to buy Assassins Creed just for the cover.
