Hot on the heels of that terrifying The New Mutants trailer, we've just learned from screenwriter Rhett Reese that the tentatively titled Deadpool 2, Fox's second X-Men universe offering of 2018, has just wrapped principal photography.
The David Leitch-directed sequel commenced production back in June with a return trip to the X-Mansion and has been steadily filming for the last four months. Ryan Reynolds is headlining the follow-up to the 2016 blockbuster and will be joined in his latest misadventure by Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić, Karan Soni, Jack Kesy, Shioli Kutsuna, Julian Dennison, and Eddie Marsan.
Plot details remain under wraps for the time being, but with Christmas just around the corner, it shouldn't be too long now before we get our first look at the Merc with a Mouth's highly anticipated return.
Deadpool 2 is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool, distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is intended to be the twelfth installment in the X-Men film series, and a sequel to the 2016 film Deadpool.
