Rob Liefeld is best known as the co-creator of Deadpool. Since the news broke out on a possible deal in which Disney buys 21th Century Fox fans have been speculating what it means for the currently Fox-owned franchises such as X-Men and Deadpool.

Liefeld isn't too fond of the idea that Disney would get their hands on the highly popular R-rated Deadpool franchise.

Here's what the artist had to say in an open letter on his Instagram account:

If a deal gets made it does cast a shadow of doubt on what would happen to Deadpool, its rating and everyone involved in the project, as well as the X-Men and X-Force franchises.

Deadpool doing a billion?

As for x-force, it's kind of an enigma. The only character they have so far is Deadpool. Building a team around that one character (two if Cable does well) is not a sure thing. They might draft in X-23 somehow but outside of that not a lot of the fox-men characters have that much good will.

@TheManWithoutFear - Deadpool did over $800M so with some healthy growth and a more well known villain, yeah, 2 or X-Force could do a billion.

But i'm kind of biased because i want all of Marvel's kids in one universe and under Feige's leadership.

Deadpool is the one character who could come away untouched by any of it. His breaking of the fourth wall would address it, mock it, hate on it and love it. He could “choose” to ignore the changes and constantly reference to previous X-Men films along with keep his series’ actors as they are part of his universe

@MikeyL - it would severley limit the characters that future Deadpool and X-force movies could use.

@Ryguy88 - I guarantee the destruction Thanos will bring will be the closest thing to Dark phoenixs power-level on screen.

It's funny... Star Wars used to be Fox's Star Wars.

But, (*ahem*)

Dear Mr. Iger,

It's your ol' pal, Spock0Clock. Please do everything you can to ruin Liefeld's day. Thanks.

They could make Deadpool (at east the first one) fit into MCU continuity somehow right? I mean there was a damaged helicarrier in it, so I guess it could have taken place after the battle of NY, plus it doesn't really know what continuity it fits into anyways, but idk.
