Are We Going To See (The Other) 'Night Nurse' In DOCTOR STRANGE?

She may have been a nurse, but Daredevil's Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) was NOT Night Nurse as we initially thought when the casting was announced at the New York Comic-Con. That's because Marvel Studios has plans for the character, so read on for further details...

In the comic books, three women have gone by the Night Nurse moniker; Georgia Jenkins, Christine Palmer, and Linda Carter. Claire Temple meanwhile was a love interest for Luke Cage, but when Rosario Dawson was cast, it was widely reported that she would be Night Nurse. When Daredevil premiered, that obviously wasn't the case, and talking at the Television Critics Association press tour today, Steven DeKnight revealed why exactly that is. "The feature side had plans for her down the road so that was the only time we ran into a conflict," he said when asked if he and Marvel got into any disagreements about the characters who could be used. "So we just used another name."

Common sense says that Night Nurse will show up in Doctor Strange as she played a major role in one of the few modern stories to feature the character; Brian K. Vaughn's critically acclaimed Doctor Strange: The Oath. Could that be the role Rachel McAdams is up for? It would certainly make sense, especially as she and the good doctor actually embarked on a romantic relationship.
