DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Trailer Rumored To Debut At The End Of SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME

Multiple scoopers are claiming that the first teaser for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will indeed debut with Spider-Man: No Way Home, but not in the way you might be expecting...

While Marvel Studios has a habit of teasing future adventures in post-credit scenes, it sounds like they may be taking things one step further with Spider-Man: No Way Home. It's being reported that the second post-credits scene for the movie will actually be a full-length teaser trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Cinema Reviewed was the first to break the news, and while we wouldn't normally put much credence in an unverified source, relatively reliable internet scoopers ViewerAnon and BigScreenLeaks have both since backed up the report, which adds a little more credibility to the claim.

It'd probably be wise to still take this news with a grain of salt as it's also been rumored that one of the post-credit scenes might be tied to Venom 3, or give us another look at the recently released Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) first look teaser. But if either play as the mid-credits sequence (with the latter possibly airing before the movie), then a first look at the highly-anticipated Doctor Strange sequel would be an unexpected surprise to end the movie and would undoubtedly break the internet.

It could also help shed some light on the future of Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and his rumored Amazing friends (Tobey Maguire; Andrew Garfield).

Regardless, if true, this wouldn't be the first time Marvel Studios debuted a teaser trailer at the end of one of their films, as they previously deployed the strategy in Captain America: The First Avenger, which featured an early teaser for The Avengers as its post-credits tag,

Plot details are under wraps, but in addition to Cumberbatch reprising his role as the Sorcerer Supreme, the supporting cast will consist of Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch, Benedict Wong as Wong, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to hit theaters on May 6, 2022.
