Here's hoping Campbell isn't the only Raimi alum to make an appearance in this film...

@tmp3 - reminds me, I still feel fairly confident that SpiderTom 3 will officially bring Uncle Ben's name and face into the MCU, just in a pretty limited way.
and part of me wants it to be Jason Alexander because of how goofily meta funny that would be, with a big younger chunk of the audience not even getting it.

@CaptCoulson - More Jason Alexander is an automatic W, but I'd be surprised if Ben shows up again tbh

Only if he is ensconsed in plush velvet

@tmp3 - well yeah I'd say certainly one of the most universally agreed upon ideas in all of fandom over the last decade or so is the MCU skipping right past Spidey's initial origin entirely. I also happen to quite like and appreciate both having May much less of a grandma-type figure this time around and her learning the truth that early in the whole narrative.
Part of what I think actually brought me to this little brainstorm was for some reason I'd gotten to considering over the SCREAM franchise's supposed rules as given by Randy in Scream 3 that a trilogy capper will often fundamentally have, in this case having some sort of information presented in the story that starts to tie in to the past, what started the given narrative to begin with. Mind you, I'm not suggesting there being an even much abbreviated flashback filmed showing this Uncle Ben's murder, something more either a flashback of a meaningful conversation or Pete hearing Ben's voice in present time in his mind to help better understand something.

and ya know what, there's actually a secondary level to the meta humor of casting Alexander that wasn't in my mind at all when I first thought of this months ago, it only just clicked after my reply here earlier. That given who Aunt May's new love interest seems to be... George and that party clown were pretty adversarial in the one time Favs did his guest appearance lol

Of course he will appear, when doesn't he appear in Sam Raimi movies. No chance of him being Mysterio, so who will be the Doctor Strange villain that fans will speculate on him possibly being

@dracula - Shuma Gorath is my vote

Man wish he would come out of retirement and play ash one more time in a mad max style evil dead movie.

Would be great to see his casual non hateful ignorance again, considering how politically correct people are trying to force everything to be

Clickbate.
There isn't one bit of information in that article that anyone couldn't have guessed at.

@rocketeuropa - I dont see how in anyway this is clickbait

@rocketeuropa - Exactly. I could have said the exact same thing to the interviewer and I don't work in Hollywood. It was all common sense and VERY generic.

He and Sam Raimi *could* have just talked about it as friends, but I really hope this means he is involved

Sam Raimi is doing an MCU movie (and a darn cool one at that). Christian Bale is gonna be in the next Thor (bring back that Wiatiti!). This sh*t is pretty freaking cool!

@MosquitoFarmer - With all the Shitrain and Chaos we still get little rewards like that. Amazing times we live in.

This is very interesting. Its implying that the skate announced by marvel may be changing. Some movies may be canned to speed up the timeline to get to the bigger movies (xmen debut, thunderbolts, young avengers, etc) while their targeted actors are still of age to play these roles

Of course Bruce will have a role. Who did you *think* was going to play the Madness?

Ok, this is just my hunch, but I think Bruce Campbell will be the Beyonder in the MCU. Who else is groovy enough to turn Galactus into an Elvis? Yeah, that happened.

Not surprised in the slightest that Bruce has inside knowledge. He is part of the board of Sam's production company, a close friend (Hell, Sam and Ted consider him part of the family) and co-producer.

99% convinced that Bruce will also produce part of the film
