Rumor has it Eternals villain Kro will be played be either Dan Stevens or Bill Skarsgård, but Marvel Studios is staying quiet on that front. However, in the production notes for the film, it's confirmed that Canadian voice actor David Kaye lends his vocals to the ancient Celestial, Arishem.
We don't know if the character has a ton of speaking lines, but you'll no doubt recognize the actor from any number of iconic roles.
He's one of the few performers to have played both Optimus Prime and Megatron in some of the Transformers animated shows, while he also lent his voice to both Professor X and Apocalypse in X-Men: Evolution. He's played several more Marvel characters in the past, as well as Clank in the Ratchet & Clank games. He also serves as the announcer for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO.
Marvel Studios has worked with a lot of prolific voice actors on What If...?, so perhaps this is an indication they'll start doing so in live-action projects moving forward as well. Very little has been revealed about Arishem beyond the fact that he's the Celestial these Eternals seemingly report back to.
Kaye has yet to comment on the casting, but we'll hopefully hear from him once Eternals is released worldwide in theaters on November 5.
