CBM Fight Club RULES!!!

-NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST. In choosing a winner base your vote on the most iconic interpretation of the character. The comment section is a great place for you to present why you think that character would win the fight.

-The fights does not need to be deathmatches, incapacitating the other character can be considered a win.

-Lopsided matches may occur (which also happens regularly in the comics and movies) but before you write out the "weaker" character try to think of possible ways this character can beat the more "powerful" opponent. Again the comment section will be helpful in this.

-Eligible fighters are characters who have both been given life in comics AND movies.

THE POLLS WILL RUN FOR A WHOLE MONTH BEFORE THE RESULTS WILL BE DISPLAYED. [CLICK HERE TO VOTE & VIEW OTHER POLLS]

How? How could Batman lose to the Lizard? Insanity! Intruder, can you remove Batman from the polls? It's just a request. Everybody's sick of him winning every time against a reasonable character like Thor or Silver Surfer. Just a request.

Batman (Irony)
Dr. Manhattan
Beast

Batman vs Crow: With prep time, sure, I could see Batman taking this. But this is a no prep fight; he's be oblivious to the fact that Crow's powers and abilities are tied to the actual crow. Crow is superhuman and basically unkillable; despite Batman's resourcefulness, without prior knowledge or prep he'd lose this one, and badly, I'd think.

Doc Manhattan vs Aquaman: Doc Manhattan. Doc can erase a dude from existence with the casual wave of a hand. Anybody short of a Celestial or God himself stands about as much a chance against Doc as a tadpole does a grizzly bear.

Beast vs Hawkman: Beast takes this one. He's too strong, too fast, too agile, and way too smart for Hawkman. The only way Hawk would have a fighting chance here would be if he were to fly out of reach -- but then he wouldn't be within range to do Beast any kind of damage, anyway. Beast's got this.

1st. Im on the fence on this one. First time meeting so Batman couldnt kill the Crow but he doesnt really kill ppl anyway. Crow is like meta-human strength, speed, agility but Batman has fought ppl stronger than that before. Also even thought there is no prep time Batman is always packing some gear in his belt so he has the weapon advantage. I wanna say Batman experience would be the edge over a rockstar that got murdered.

2nd. Dr. Manhattan for sure on this one, but again I disagree with LoudLon in the fact that he is on a Celestial or "god" level since he cant create life or kno the future, or even read thoughts for that matter.

3rd. Given prep time Beast for sure. Not only physically could he hold his own against Hawkman, he is a brilliant geneticist and could probably whip up some biological poison that would make Hawkmans wings fall off.

Raze -- at the end of Watchmen, Doc states he's going to go off somewhere and create life. Dude wouldn't have said something like that if he wasn't capable of it, y'know? And while he can't tell anyone else's future, he knows his own because he exists on a quantum level and can see his past, present and future simultaneously. Basically, anything the guy can think of, he can do. That sounds pretty God-like, I'd say.

God damn you Pollmaster with this first match, it's like ripping me in half...

Again I have to agree with Raze...

Batman- I love the Crow character more than any other comicbook character, besides the TMNT, so this choice is damaging my fragile childhood...But, I have to give it to Batman...as Raze said, he has the experience, the weapons, and the fighting skills...now if this was Brandon Lee vs Batman, the story would be different, but against the Crow my vote is for a narrowly won Batman victory...

Dr. Manhattan- Again I agree with Raze, that characters like him shouldn't be used in these fight clubs...Manhattan can drain Aquaman of the water in his body, and end of match...

Beast- As many others have mentioned, brains over brawn...

@ LoudLon

You make a good point now that I recall him saying that but that leaves me with so many more question. Why did he have to kill Rorshach, in stead of alter his mind or create a Rorshach that agreed with him? Why did he let his wife and best friend die of cancer? Why didnt he resurrect the Comedian? How didnt he not she Ozzy attempt to kill him in his future? If he knows everything why does it take him so long to build that machine for Ozzy? Im just not sold yet.

Raze, to answer your questions (sorry, this could be a long one):

He killed Rorschach because that was the only way to stop Rorschach from going back to the world and revealing the truth. Rorschach himself was a slave to his own compulsions and sense of justice; even he knew the only thing that would keep him from ruining the newfound peace was if he himself were killed. Like he said, "Never compromise, not even in the face of Armageddon." He knew he had to die, just like Doc. Doc, as he stated at one point, is capable of just about anything, but he can't change a person's nature. He had no choice but to kill Rorschach.

As for resurrecting Comedian or saving his friends who died of cancer, keep in mind that by that point Doc had lost interest in humanity. You can literally gauge Doc's interest in humanity by the size of his "uniform." When he first starts working for the government, when he's still relatively "new" to his powers, he wears a full body suit. As the decades wear on, the suit becomes smaller and smaller. From a body suit to a pair of shorts. From a pair of shorts to something resembling bikini briefs. From bikini briefs to no uniform at all. By the time we're introduced to him, when he's walking around naked, he has become completely indifferent to the human race. No sense of shame, doesn't care if his nudity makes anyone uncomfortable. The only reason he stays on earth is for Laurie's sake, but once she leaves him for Dan, the last string holding him to earth is severed, and that's when he leaves for Mars. Anyway, the point is, the reason he didn't do anything to save Janie or his old science geek buddy or even Comedian, is because he quite simply didn't care to.

As for not being able to see Ozy killing him in the future, remember Ozy was able to generate tachyons, which are particles which travel backward in time, scrambling Doc's ability to see his own future.

I can only guess why it took him so long to build the machine for Ozy, because that's never really addressed. I would imagine it was just him dragging it out and hanging around for Laurie's sake, or it could be that, though he may have mastery of all matter, it still takes time to arrange all those molecules and energy patters and what-not. But again, that's just a guess. :/
