1. I voted for Spider-Man-Jane can heal, but that doesn't mean she can't be beaten up...Spidey would beat her with all of his abilities, the fact that she'd get back up when he's done pounding her means nothing...because the fight would be over.

2. I voted for Black Canary-Snake is easily the better fighter, but what can he do against a Camry cry.

3. I voted for Thor-Thor strength is most likely greater, but speed is equal, Skill and experience is easily in favor of Thor. Magic is something Thor has that she doesent, and overall power it's Thor who holds a great advantage over her.

And I always comment on the previous fights, I get asked a lot about Doomsday vs Thor and this time I agree 100% with the voters, I'm one of Thor's biggest fans...but Doomsday would beat him the same way Hulk does. Thor might be a bit stronger, but he routinely holds back against opponents for fear of harming them. And It costs him the win against Doomsday/Hulk...the way I see it Doomsday = Hulk > Thor.

But I disagree with Yoda beating Hulk, Yoda could force lift him but Hulk could break out of it due to Thunder Clap...heck, a Thunder clap would blow Yoda away like a paper airplane.

Painkiller Jane vs Spider-Man -- PJ's a cool character but being a quick-healer isn't going to help her get out of Spidey's webbing or prevent her from being knocked out cold. Offensively she's got nothing, at least where Spider-Man is concerned.

2nd fight -- pass

Maxima vs Thor -- Maxima would put up a good fight only for as long as Thor would let her. Physically she's impressive, but her telepathic attacks won't do squat against Thor, and he can fry her with a bolt of lightning anytime the mood struck him, or just pummel her senseless with Mjolnir. If Martian Manhunter is DC's Swiss Army Knife, then Thor would be Marvel's. His abilities are too numerous and vast for Maxima to even come close to handling.

Thor vs Doomsday -- there's no reason to think Thor would hold back in this fight. He didn't hold back against the Midgard Serpent. Or Beta Ray Bill. Or Kurse. Or Hulk. Or Ulik. Or Malekith. Or etc, etc. And so long as Thor has the ability to open interdimensional portals, he'll always have a place for Doomsday to do. Wouldn't even have to fight him.

Thor DOES hold back against Hulk, because he considers him a friend and an ally, but also because hes mortal, and in Thor's book anyone whos not from Asgard or maybe Olympus...is considered a mortal, so i think Doomsday qualifies as a mortal in Thor's book. But that's why in comics Hulk beats Thor more than the other way around, if Thor was to attack Hulk quickly and decisively it'd be over for Hulk. But Hulk has beaten him because Thor lets the battle drag on too long, and Hulk gains the upper hand. I'm not saying Doomsday would have it easy, but I think Doomsday is one of the few out there that could actually beat Thor....along with Hulk and MAYBE Martian Manhunter....Doomsday is not to be underestimated, he beat the crap out of Superman. Btw I realize that in most cases when Hulk and Thor fight, they stalemate...but last time I checked the official count, Hulk has beaten Thor 5 times and Thor beat Hulk once...but it wasn't regular Thor, it was a different version of him so idk if it counts...

@Fenix -- in the last ten years or so Marvel writers have been bringing out some really off-the-wall silliness with some characters which makes absolutely no sense and contradicts the previous forty years of comic book history. Thor holds back all the time? Wolverine's suddenly completely unkillable? Punisher can take on the entire Marvel Universe???

Up 'til all this started, Thor never once held back on Hulk because Hulk was pretty much the only non-cosmic guy in the MU who could bring it every bit as well as Thor himself could -- and still more often than not, Hulk walked away the winner.

I don't know, man. Maybe I'm just getting old, but all this god damn ret-conning Marvel's done over the last decade or so and all the contradictory changes they're making to some characters just pisses me off no end.

LL, getting old and getting grumpy can be correlated together. I am a testament to that :-)

Yes understood, but it's not apples to apples so… He may be powerful but if Thor burns him, which I think is a simple thing given his hammers energy manipulation abilities (notice I'm not even going to the lightning) the fights over. Jon Could be more powerful, but would find it hard to overcome his weakness.Especially in this case given thor's abilities.

I will say this one thing that annoys me to No end is when people use pretzel logic and say well A defeated B, and B defeated C so, A would defeat C. it's not like that in the real world. It works fine on SAT tests, but there are variables in individuals.

that's why as an example how a weaker strength wise character like Spiderman (who exhibits the trait of not giving up even when faced against all odds) could defeat a stronger adversary.
