The story begins in 1994 in Somalia when Elliot Salem and Tyson Rios (the protagonists of the game) are in the U.S. 75th Ranger Regiment. They are tasked to work with Phillip Clyde, a private military contractor with the Security and Strategy Corporation (SSC), tasked with carrying out the assassination of powerful local warlord Abdullahi Mo'Alim. Clyde's overly condescending attitude and behaviour disgust Salem and Rios. Clyde makes Salem and Rios pull off the assassination themselves and clear out the extraction point without his assistance. After this mission, Philip Clyde invites Lieutenant Colonel Richard Dalton (CO for Salem and Rios's Ranger squad) to join the company for a desk job. He agrees, asking to bring Salem and Rios with him as contractors, and in the following year, the three enter the private sector. Salem and Rios begin work as Private Contractors..

The Cast
Dwayne Johnson is
Tyson Rios: SSC operative, Salem's partner, former U.S. Army Ranger. Raised in a tough neighborhood in Brooklyn, Rios learned how to use his brains as well as his size and strength to his advantage. He is level-headed and he tempers Salem's arrogance and impatience with his intuition and caution. Rios has a shaved head and a web of nasty scar tissue on the right side of his clean-shaven face, a souvenir from an explosion he narrowly survived. He prefers plain body armor and metal armored facemasks.
Hugh Jackman is
Elliot Salem: SSC operative, Rios' partner, former U.S. Army Ranger. A "gang-banger" originally from Yonkers, NY but resided in Lousiana for several years. Salem is a morally-flexible and hot-headed gambler, party animal, and spendthrift who likes to take risks and get into trouble. Salem has his body covered in bright tattoos and likes to wear customized body armor and armored facemasks detailed in various designs and patterns.
Olivia Wilde is
Alice Murray: SSC mission coordinator for Rios and Salem throughout the game. She uses the input from their helmet cams and spy satellite data to keep them up to date. Alice has a green vine pattern tattoo that winds across her entire body. How would you like to see tattoo's up and down her??

Stephen McHattie is
Richard Dalton: A colonel in the U.S. Army Rangers, and the CO for Salem and Rios's squad. After Phillip Clyde offered him a position with SSC, Dalton only accepted if he could bring Salem and Rios with him. He is later discovered to be leaking U.S. Troop positions to terrorists, so that SSC Operatives look better by comparison. He sets up Salem and Rios to assassinate an anti-PMC U.S. Senator, but is killed in the final cutscene in Miami. In the alternate ending, he acts as the final boss.
Ben Foster is
Phillip "Smiley" Clyde: A solo SSC operative who originally recruits Dalton. An amoral and sado-masochistic thug, he prefers to kill with his bare hands; Rios and Salem are creeped out by him and dislike him intensely. He is discovered to be leaking U.S. Troop positions to terrorist organizations, under orders from Dalton. Clyde is killed,by Salem, at the end of the Miami level.
