This adaption of Batman is NO origin story. It is a combination of the comics and Batman: Under the Red Hood. This is keeping with the theme of an older semiretired Batman. As always please leave a comment.
After being kidnapped, tortured, beaten, and ultimately killed by Joker, Jason Todd seeks revenge on his former mentor. Jason Todd aka Robin ii is brought back to life by Ra's al Ghul and determined to kill Batman for not saving him. He takes over The Society led by Black Mask to bait The Dark Knight which all leads up to an epic showdown.
The Good Guys
In my world everyone will dawn their suits, but they will be a more sleek modern cooler version of themselves. The only person that will not be wearing a suit would be Barbara Gordon, at least not for this film.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Dick Grayson/Nightwing
Levitt is the perfect actor to pull off a seasoned Nightwing. There was no way I was giving this role to anyone else. Levitt is more than capable starring in Inception, Looper, 50/50, Don Jon, and most importantly TDKR as a pseudo Robin. He will bring what is needed to the role as the former sidekick to the capped crusader.
Bryan Cranston as James Gordon
Cranston has played many roles and has many faces; from the quirky father as Hal in Malcom in the Middle to the mastermind drug dealing king pin known as Walter White. Walter would have been big time in Gotham, but instead he takes up the identity as James Gordon. Cranston will embody everything that is James Gordon, and much more. He has been a reoccurring fan cast as James Gordon and I could not agree more.
Emilia Clarke as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl
Clarke is a young, beautiful, up and coming actress. She is widely known as Daenerys on Game of Thrones, and will become Sarah Conner in the upcoming Terminator film titled Terminator Genesis. Clarke is a gifted actress, being able to play the innocent girl to the powerful leader. Barbara Gordon would simply be a detective in this movie before ultimately becoming Batgirl later on into the series.
Taylor Lautner as Tim Drake/Robin
Lautner is still synonymies with playing Jacob, and that's tragic. He has played in other block busters like... and... ok fine, but 4% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for Abduction isn't that bad is it? Any who, I believe in this kid especially as Robin. He is a martial artist and is no stranger to the big screen he will excel in this role.
The Society
This is where Jason Todd started the mind games with Batman. He controls the largest crime family in all of Gotham. Keep in mind some of these characters will become super villains at some point and some of them already are. I used their civilian names because that is what I would like to see them as in this film except for
Black Mask and Deadshot. Matt Damon as Black Mask
Damon is a good actor and will be able to embody the mobster, drug lord that is Black Mask. But we all know the real reason why I selected him as the Mask. His boy Ben is in the bat suit, just sayin.
Kelly Hu as Ms. Li
This selection was easier than cutting soft butter. Hu voiced the assistant to Black Mask and various DC characters. If you look closely you might remember her from Arrow.
Ali Larter as Andrea Beaumont
Larter is known from her roles in franchises like Resident Evil and Final Destination. I remember her as the whip cream girl from Varsity Blues, I know I'm not alone. Any who as Andrea a member of The Society I think Larter will bring the same intensity she did as Claire Redfield.
Michael Emerson as Garfield Lynns
Emerson is a great silver screen actor starring in shows like Person of Interest and Lost. Dude is funny, scary (in a nerdy type of way), and will make Firefly into a mad genius.
Craig Parker as Lawrence Croc

Michael Jai White as Ben Turner
Yes I know he plays the same role on Arrow. I feel that it is possible to make them part of the same universe. Even if it isn't do me a solid and just role with it.
Daniel Craig as Floyd Lawron/Deadshot
Craig was the selection to play the perfect guns man because of his role as James Bond. Craig will serve to bring out the slick, smooth qualities Deadshot possesses and will serve as nothing more than a seasoned hired gun.
Evan Peters as Jason Todd/Red Hood
Peters is not the popular choice amongst other fan cast sites A lot of fan cast has the voice behind the hood Jensen Ackles. I understand that, but he is 36 and I wanted to go younger across the board. I also think Peters is better at pulling off an undead psycho wanting revenge. See him in American Horror story and you will see why he could pull it off. He has also played the funny sidekick in Never Back Down and a hero role as Quicksilver in Days of Future Past. I don't care that he is linked to Marvel they have two different Quicksiler's and Chris Evans played Cpt.America and Human Torch.
Special Guest
These characters will play an important role in this movie and set the stage for the next film.
Matthew McConaughey as Riddler
M&M (see what I just did there) is a versitle and great actor. After seeing him most recently in WWolf of Wall Street and True Detective I knew he was the guy I wanted to play Riddler. This Riddler should be less animated and funny, instead he should be a mix between slight comedic and cynical. Matthew will make everyone forget about the other Riddler portrayed on the big screen.
Walton Goggins as Joker
I expect to get criticized with whomever I select. You can say it sucks, but you will be mistaken if you ever saw this ma act. If you haven't watch Django Unchained, GI Joe Retaliation, Machete Kills, Lincoln, (don't watch) Cowboys and Aliens, or catch him on Justified. If you still think he can't pull off the psychotic, unstable, funny, insane clown then I just feel for you.
Elizabeth Banks as Harley Quinn
Banks was selected because she can not only pull off Dr. Harleen Quinzel, but the total transformers into Harley Quinn. If you saw Zach and Mary Make a Porno, Pitch Perfect, and of course the main reason I selected her Hunger Games, you will understand exactly why she was made for this role.
Giancarlo Esposito as Ra's al Ghul
