The title of the Black Panther is something not easily earned. You must be royalty, train long and hard, and fight for your life. This is the story of one of those men, and perhaps, the greatest one of all.
The Black Panther before, however, was killed in a fierce battle against the Man-Ape, ruler of the primitive Ape Clan. He fought long and hard, never tiring. But The Black Panther saw a man.A skinny bearded man, and he was headed towards the... BAM! The Man-Ape to struck him with his club. He knocked against a statue, which was pushed on top of him. Man-Ape had killed the Black Panther.
"NO!"
The Panther's son, T'Challa, was horrified as a pool of blood surrounded his father's body. Man-Ape had become ruler of the country, called Wakanda.
"MY FIRST ORDER AS KING IS THE BANISHMENT OF THIS BOY!!!!!!!!!!!"
"But sir."
"AM I NOT YOUR KING? DO YOU NOT SEE THIS MANGLED BODY OF THE FORMER RULER?!"
"My lord."
And so he was banished from the only place he had ever called home, and the only land he had ever seen.He trained for 15 long years in, seeking revenge. He had gone from a carefree young man to a grim, hard-working man. He never forgot his home country, and never planned on doing so. He formed a plan, one he knew would succeed. And so he bought a plane ticket to the Central African Republic, and traveled to his country from there. He arrived only to find his former home in flame. The people were in chains, and Man-Ape sat on the throne. A man sat next to him, a skinny, bearded man. He was missing a hand, and reading a book on sound. He seemed bored, and was in a deep thought. The Panther snuck around to the South of the city, putting on his panther suit as he went.
The Panther silently climbed the steps leading to the throne, he pulled out a sword, and stabbed it though the giant chair. There were no screams, no gasp, nothing. He went to the other side of it and realized that Man-Ape, and the other one, were gone.He was furious. All that planning for nothing. A well planned, long trained for, assassination ruined by one random act. But it was not ruined yet. Someone saw The Panther standing atop the temple, and cheered for him. Soon, all the people were cheering for a symbol they had not seen for so long.
Man-Ape heard the cheering, and came out of the cave he was in.
"WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?"
"I have returned Man-Ape, to avenge my father! I challenge you to battle! You cannot decline!"
" HA! YOUR FATHER COULD NOT HANDLE ME! HOW COULD A BOY!?!"
"My father was distracted by your friend! He was headed for the sacred deposit of vibrainium!"
"LIES! ALL LIES! WHO DO YOU BELIVE? A BANISHED BOY OR YOUR KING!?
"You will still fight, or your title is taken away. Either way, I become king."
Man-Ape did choose to fight, and it took place in the same arena where The Panther's father died. The blood had not yet been cleaned. Man-Ape was powerful but not fast enough to hit anything but stone. The Panther was fast, but if he got too close he could be grabbed. He worked his way around the arena, hitting Man-Ape wherever possible. Man-Ape was eventually weakened, and ran from The Panther. He tripped on uneven stone work, and fell on the dried blood.
"You killed my father, time to return the favor."
And so he pushed down the same statue and killed Man-Ape. But he still had work to do. He left the arena and went towards the deposit. He climbed to the top level of the site surrounding it. He discovers the man putting a machine where his missing hand should be.
"What are you doing?"
" Why, I am observing this fine metal of yours. You know, I have always been intrigued by sound."
" Of course. Now step away from that deposit."
" Oh yes, sorry. My name is Ulysses Klaw. I never liked Man-Ape, I'm glad you killed him. So uncivilized."
" Then why did you work with him?"
" Because he could give me the resources I need, like this deposit."
" You have some!"
" Yes, indeed. I needed it to power this machine. It can turn sound around you into solid energy."
" Hand it over!"
" I'm afraid that I can't do that."
" Then the time to be civil is over. I will take it from you!"
The two battle for some time, until Ulysses hits the deposit with his machine and it overloads the entire cave, which is directly below the city.(The metal takes energy and then pushes it out of it's "body")The Panther takes Ulysses and runs out of the cave just in time to see the city destroyed. Ulysses tries to kill him one last time, but is knocked out by a punch in the head. He then speaks to his people.
" Our city may be destroyed,but the tyranny has ended and the one responsible is dead! We will rebuild, and we will no longer cut ourselves off from the rest of the world! I will represent this noble country in America! And this land will flourish!"
And it was at that moment he realized that he truly was, The Black Panther.
After Credits Scene: Nick Fury is walking through the jungle with Maria Hill. Fury says, "This is it." Hill just gasps, and The Panther Clan's city is shown.
