DISCLAIMER FOR DISCLAIMER: I really didn't want to do this but because of some experience doing these things..... I just got to.
DISCLAIMER: This is not real. This will never end up on actual film. These are my personal choices for the cast of a BLADE film, so be kind and enjoy.
Blade
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
That's right bitches, THE ROCK. I know what you're thinking, "no, no, no, no, no! Hell no!, but yes and let me explain. The Rock is unarguably one of the greatest action stars we have today. He was even named as the highest grossing actor of the YEAR, and yet in his nearly 11 yrs of acting he has never been in a CBM. Not that he hasn't tried, he at one point was attached to big screen adaptation of LOBO and SHAZAM'S BLACK ADAM, but no go. The Rock is really good solid actor, who is entertaining as hell in everything he's in, plus he's box office good. Listen to me straight, I love Wesley Snipes, and I love what he did with Blade, but this is a new time and I believe The Rock is suitable replacement. Oh, and for those people who say that The Rock isn't black, guess what? he is. He may be half black, but he's still black, and whose to say Blade can't be bi-racial?
Jamal Afari
Danny Glover
Afari is a vampire hunter and former mentor of Blade. After a young Blade saves his life from a gang of vamps, he decides to take the boy in and train him to be the ultimate weapon against the undead. Danny Glover is a really great actor, I love him from his days in the LEATHAL WEAPON films and I think he fits the part.
Hannibal King
Charlie Hunnam
King is a supernatural detective who is also a former vampire, he and Blade are part of a vampire killing group known as "The NightStalkers". Though he is no longer a vampire, King appears to still have all the powers a vamp would have, including enhanced strength, speed, and senses.
Hunnam is a up and coming actor in the film world, but like everyone else I love him from his role in FX'S SONS OF ANARCHY. Hunnam is just badass, and I know he would just kill as king. Where Reynolds played the character as a straight up goofball, Hunnam could go more in the traditional route, portraying King as serious and reserved.
Frank Drake
Matthew Goode
Drake is a descendent of Dracula, who after squandering his fortune, is left only with his family's ancestral home. When he arrives there, comes across Dracula's skeleton and accidently resurrects him.
Goode is great young actor, he brings a unique tenderness to his roles. Frank Drake is very cool character who deserves to be on the big screen, and I think Goode would do a great job in the role.
Quincy Harker
Robert Duvall
Quincy Harker is the son of Jonathan and Mina Harker, who played major roles in the Bram Stoker's novel.Quincy was trained as a vampire hunter by Van Helsing, and became his successor. Quincy quickly became Dracula's nemesis; in retaliation Dracula killed Quincy's wife as the Harkers were attending a concert and crippled Quincy, requiring him to permanently use a wheelchair. Robert Duvall is a veteran actor of stage and screen who people might know from THE GODFATHER, THE GODFATHER PART II, and OPEN RANGE. What else is there to say but that Duvall kicks ass. He's just one these old badass' who fantasting in EVERYTHING. He was the only one I ever considered for the role.
Noah Van Helsing
James Brolin
Noah van Helsing is a descendant of Abraham Van Helsing and a distant relative of Rachel van Helsing. He created a team of vampire hunters with the task of killing Dracula. One of those recruits is Blade. Blade ends up training with Noah van Helsing and his team of vampire hunters. Like Duvall, Brolin is one of those old badass' who I love seeing in films. Even though he's not in many movies these days, I think he's still got it and I think he'd kill it in this role.
Rachel Van Helsing
Rose Leslie
Rachel van Helsing is a vampire hunter, and is the great-granddaughter of Abraham Van Helsing. I am a huge fan of Leslie from GAME OF THRONES. She's so great in the show and from that I think she'd be great as kickass female Van Helsing.
Bible John Carick
William H. Macy
He is the one of last of an order of warrior/scholars named the Cathari, who all take vows to combat the evil forces of the supernatural. Apart from the power of precognition, "Bible John" Carik is covered from head to toe in wards and sigils that he has carved into his own flesh which give him protection from supernatural beings. Bible John is one of those characters that could be [frick]ed up real badly if played the wrong actor. Macy is a cool actor, who I've been a fan of for a long time. He's got that old guy, hippie thing goin' on that really fits this character.
Deacon Frost
Viggo Mortensen
Deacon Frost is the vampire responsible for the death of Blade's mother; Blade's initial mission is to exact revenge against his mother's killer. It was also Frost who turned Hannibal King into a vampire. Blade and King, while initially distrusting each other, eventually teamed up to fight Frost's army of Blade and King doppelgangers. Viggo Mortensen is one of those actors who is just primed and ready to be in a CBM, but because one reason or another just hasn't been in one. Frost is arguably Blade's most famous Villain, and has been portrayed once by Stephen Dorff in the 1998 film. Though Dorff Did an exceptional job in the film, I believe Mortensen could bring us a far more menacing and intelligent Frost.
Michael Morbius " The Living Vampire"
Andrew Lincoln
Michael Morbius experienced a transformation by electrical shock treatment and chemical ingestion into a pseudo-vampire. As a pseudo-vampire, Morbius does not possess all the powers of an actual vampire, nor is he subject to all the traditional limitations and weaknesses. He and Blade's relationship has shifted from enemies to allies many times. Lincoln is of course famous from his role in the AMC show THE WALKING DEAD. He's a wonderful actor with many layers to him. Like his character on the show, Morbius is good man who under certain circumstances has to do bad things. Lincoln should be on the big screen and he should be in this role.
Dracula
Madds Mikkelson
Born Vlad Dracula in 1430 in Schassburg, Transylvania (now Sighişoara, Romania), he was the second son of a Transylvanian nobleman. He was named prince of Transylvania and voivode (prince) of Wallachia and became ruler while still a child. In 1459, Dracula was mortally wounded by the Turkish warlord Turac, who brought Dracula to a gypsy named Lianda to be healed. However, Lianda was a vampire, and in revenge for his persecution of the gypsies, transformed Dracula into a vampire as well.In the 19th century, he faced opposition from Abraham van Helsing and Jonathan Harker in England, the exploits of which were recorded in the 1897 novel by Stoker, Dracula. When the humans destroyed Dracula, his remains were placed in his coffin, concealed within a cave blocked by an enormous boulder. MIkkelson is a fantastic, fantastic actor. After first seeing him in CASINO ROYAL, and then watching him on NBC'S HANNIBAL, I have become such a huge fan. The he plays evil is sooooooo good. He's not one of these guys who screams at you or uses brute force. He speaks slowly, quietly, and he's knows how to get in your head. In a iteration of the character he'd be great, but as MARVEL'S Drake, he'd be just amazing.
