Captain America shouldn't go against Heavyweight opponents.
He's middleweight, sure he's very strong and fast but not on Heavyweight opponents.

Countless discussions on the topic later, it still amuses me how Bat-fans justify that Batman is peak human when he's completely un-enhanced. As strong, fast and agile as a man of his age, height and build can be, sure, I can buy that -- but as strong, fast and agile as ANY human being can be? That's laughable. Basically that means that Bats, at 6'4 and 225 pounds, is stronger than a 7' tall World's Strongest Man competitor, faster than a world-record-holding sprinter and more agile than an Olympic gymnast. All that AND master of 127 forms of martial arts? That makes zero sense, even in comic book land.

But anyway...

Batroc vs Catwoman -- Batroc may generally be considered a silly villain because of his little fey mustache and pink costume, but that dude's bad-ass. He'd kick the snot out of Catwoman.

Cyborg vs Winter Soldier -- Cyborg's more powerful but WS has decades of combat savvy. I think WS would out-smart and out-fight him.

Captain America vs Martian Manhunter -- with previous knowledge, I would seriously consider giving this one to Cap (MM wouldn't be the first telepath to find his mind tricks don't work against a man with indomitable will, plus Cap would know about and know to exploit MM's pyrophobia) but in a first encounter, well...poor Cap.

Invisible Woman vs Stargirl -- SG's useless without her staff. IW generates a forcefield around it, preventing SG from being able to grab it, then goes all Ike Turner and bitch-slaps SG up and down the block.

Batroc- Wen't toe to toe with cap.

Cyborg - to many weapons and strength

MM - Really? I mean really? Supergirl, Dr. Fate, MM, lobo, who else has he had to fight recently? Give him someone his own level.

but loudly, thats such a hypocritical thing to say, so you can accept a man getting bitten by a radioactive spider but you can't accept Batman as a peak human? check any bio on him and it will tell you that Bruce Waynes physical attributes surpass those of any Olympic athlete to ever compete, dude benches 1000lbs to caps 1100lbs and is a master of 127 forms of martial arts. These are FACTS put forth by DC themselves so if you don't agree with them or like them thats too bad because its as canon as Wolverines body being blown apart and him being able to regenerate from it. Sad to say for all you Cap fans but physically they almost match up.

I'm not anti-Batman at all. And I don't see how I'm being hypocritical. I said it plain as day -- Batman is un-enhanced. He may be able to have reached the peak physical ability of a man of his age, height, weight and build, but the peak of ALL human physical ability? No. Like I said, according to Bat-fans, that means Batman is just as strong as a man a foot taller and packing sixty more pounds of muscle than him. And I'M the idiot???

When you have a character like Batman who is so popular BECAUSE HE'S HUMAN AND HAS NO POWERS, then trying to attribute such things that would be impossible for a human with no powers to do -- like beat Silver Surfer or, yes, even Captain America -- does nothing but ruin Batman of what makes him such a great character. So if you guys want to insist Batman can beat all the vastly powerful people you've had him beat in these matches -- without a single super power -- then knock yourself out. Just don't expect me to play ball.

Cap is different, because he IS enhanced. He's as fast, strong and agile as ANY HUMAN BEING CAN BE. His brain processes and applies information faster than any human being. So yes, he's stronger than a man larger and heavier than him, faster than the fastest human runner, more agile than the most agile human gymnast, can formulate battle plans and strategies at a much faster rate than the most genius human strategist, etc. If he could lift a pound more or run half a second faster, he'd be super-human. If his brain synapses fired a milisecond quicker, he'd be superhuman.

That's what you guys fail to understand. Whether your lack of understanding is because you don't get it or just a matter of plain old refusal to accept that a fan-favorite like Batman would have his ass handed to him in a large number of these fights, that's all on you.

Yes, Cap is my favorite character but I'm not blinded by devotion. I've voted for him to lose before and I'm sure I will again. But I will never vote for Batman over Cap, because Cap outmatches him in every way that matters in a fight. It doesn't get any more plain and simple than that.
