Christopher Nolan-master of Batman Villains

Christopher Nolan-master of Batman Villains

When Nolan announced who Batman's villains would be in TDKR, many people were either upset, disappointed, or confused due to the fact that many wanted the riddler. But many of those doubters were silenced when WB released a photo of Bane, portrayed by Tom Hardy.

Don't get me wrong, I nearly fainted by the sight of Nolan's new look of Bane. Epicness indeed. It seems that TDKR is on its way to being another great movie. I have no doubt that the first trailer will start a huge buzz for it and the mainstream audience will have it listed as their number 1 choice to see next year over the Avengers and Spider-man.

I'm sure Tom Hardy will give us a memorable bane, not quite as remarkable as Heath's Joker, but one still awesome indeed. Now, I haven't seen a real photo of Anne Hathaway in the catsuit, and when I heard that she was gonna be Catwoman, I was a bit skeptical. But I also was a bit weary to hear that Kevin Bacon was gonna be the bad guy in X-men First Class and I left the movie feeling he did a good job. Back in its earliest days of being posted on IMDB, TDKR had Anne Listed as just playing Selina Kyle. But then it suddenly changed to Selina Kyle/Catwoman. Hmm...Is Catwoman really in this one? Is Nolan just making us believe one thing while he's doing the other? Only time will tell.

After the mind-blowing epic The Dark Knight, people wanted Nolan to do a 3rd Batman. And most wanted the Riddler. Heck, I wanted the Riddler too.

As you can see from this awesome fan-made poster, it probably made its way to Nolan and gave him some ideas. But its his choice; his movie. Grant it Bane and Catwoman were minor characters compared to the others in the comics, but maybe Nolan wanted to do what Schumacher couldn't-make bane an awesome villain. (That does more than stand around and growl)

Now, many people didnt want to hear the words, 'Mr. Freeze' after Arnold's bombastic performace back in '97. But a new Freeze in the Nolan era is possible. If he wanted to go the Freeze rote, might I suggest a man that deals with liquid nitrogen nearly loses his wife to a sickness and goes completely insane and starts on a rampage with the cold liquid. Just a thought. Nolan probably would do that since his twist on Batman is more realistic. It makes Gotham like your average city and not some place with buildings reaching up to the clouds, huge sculptors on every street corner, batnipples, and neon lights everywhere.

But I'm fine with Bane as the main villain, but I still wanted what Nolan would do with the Riddler. Oh well. I'm sure that

Whenever the teaser trailer is released, we the people will be waiting in anticipation. But it won't be as near as cool as this:

Not even close.

But I ask, which villain did want to be in the new Batman movie?

I'm not a huge Comic Book Geek, but the super hero movie genre has always excited me, and always will. I do not enjoy when people argue over CBMs like they're a religion, but i guess thats how most movie geeks are.

oh and if i had to really pic a side,
i mean really really really had to, then
DC, baby :)

but i really don't care about which is best. they both make me happy

come on now, there's no way in hell they would put Selina Kyle in this but not have her be Catwoman. There's just no way in hell. If she was just gonna be Selina Kyle, some random broad, then there are tons of other women they could have used.

they picked Selina for a reason, she's Catwoman.

also, no, Freeze is not a possibility. mostly because Nolan straight up named him as a villain he would NEVER use.

First off it's already been confirmed that Catwoman is in this movie, hence the intense training Anne has been doing and with the talk about what the costume will be like.

Second there should be a "draw" option for the first poll. Avengers, The Amazing Spider-man, The Dark Knight Rises, and possibly Superman that year too. This will be an amazing year for comic book movies. I'll probably be seeing all these movies at least twice in theaters.

Nolan creates and casts the best villains by far, he doesn't put up with sh*t.

Hopefully his input to Man of Steel will give us an epic Zod. In fact he should just get convinced to Godfather all DC movies. Put them all in the Nolanverse, be like Thor with the MCU use different films to introduce fantasy elements to the universe and BAM perfection :P

Master? He butchered Joker and Two-Face! He's far from being a master. I love his work, none-the-less, but to say that he mastered the Batman villains is just sad.

Marvel.
'The Amazing Spider-Man' filmed on Red Epic 3D cameras? Winner!
Not anticipating 'The Avengers' as much, just three years ago we had the Iron Man post-credits scene.
I'm impatient to wait for TDKR.
Nolan never insults an audiences intelligence, who does appreciate smart/thinking films?
Not a big Man of Steel fan.
