-(Matt Murdock V.O) "My father was a boxer, "Battling Jack" Murdock, he was one of the best, till he got killed by one of Fixer's men. I could remember everything in a flash, I was pushing a blind man out of the way because a truck full of acid waste went haywire, I pushed him out of the way, but his life cost me mine, I had lost my eyesight that day, the next thing I remembered was waking up in a hospital, screaming and shouting. After the course of weeks, coping with my newly found abilities, I went out for a while, knowing that the neighborhood bullies would come, they called me Daredevil, and pushed me around, (he chuckles) A few seconds later they were on the ground moaning in pain, and me walking away."
