Let me get this out of the way, I have very little knowledge of Doctor Strange. I know the basic concept and the Marvel Studios is keen on the idea of giving the titular character a solo film. Based on pure acting talent and looks, I believe Jean Dujardin would make a great Sorcerer Supreme.

Awards: César Award for Best Actor (2007 nominee), Cannes Film Festival Best Actor Award (2011 winner), Golden Globe Best Actor - Musical or Comedy (2012 winner), Academy Award for Best Actor (2012 pending)

Reasoning: Dujardin is a great acting talent. He is still unknown to the general public which allows the audience to believe that he is in fact the Sorcerer Supreme (think Christopher Reeve as Superman). Also, it will allow Disney/Marvel extra budget not reserved for cast. Most importantly, Jean Dujardin is an excellent actor and can play Doctor Strange perfectly.

I can actually see this, i think it's a good pick. I haven't seen him act in that much, but i know he's been nominated for a ton of awards for "The Artist". I think he'd make a good Doctor Strange!

Wow, terrible casting. Just kidding, I've never seen this guy in anything yet but critics are hell bent on giving the Artist the movie of the year award so he must be pretty good even though he didn't say a single thing in that movie. Also, I really like your "streets ahead" reference.

My top pick are Benedict Cumberbatch or Luke Evans, but hey, this is one original and interesting casting! Very nice, he can work too, I think. Just tell me...wasn't he the one who portrayed Lucky Luke in the recent (French) movie?
