I explore the possibilities of a Web of Shadows animated movie.

In 2008, the game: SpiderMan Web of Shadows came out. I remember buying it when it first came out. For those of you who haven't played it, the game's plot is that a Symbiote army has invaded New York thanks to Venom. The Symboites take over the whole population of New York, and SpiderMan, along with some others have to stop them. The game's plot is every SpiderMan fan's dream. Now to my topic, an animated film based on it.

Marvel has made animated films with the Avengers, Hulk, Wolverine, etc. But SpiderMan has yet to appear in an animated film. Why? I don't know. So, I think that SpiderMan Web of Shadows should be adapted into an animated film. It's dark enough to get PG-13, it has emotion, and of course, great action scenes. PLUS, Venom is the main villain.

SpiderMan and Venom haven't had a good battle in such a long time. An animated film about those two would be a hit. PLUS, the ending with Venom would be a nice touch of emotion.

Did I forget to mention that Wolverine appears too? That would be great, to add guest stars, PLUS, seeing a symbiote take over Wolverine is just plain epic.

At the end of the game, Venom turns into his final form. That would be a perfect final battle to a film, comic, or just about anything.

In closing, I think that when Marvel does make a SpiderMan animated film, it should be based on Web of Shadows.

This would definitely make for an epic animated film. I think MARVEL could make a Spider-Man animated film. I'm not sure but I think I saw Mr. Fantastic in the 'World War Hulk' feature they did. And they got Wolverine and much of the X-Men villains in the 'Hulk vs. Wolverine' segment when they still belong to 20th Century Fox. If they were able to get them all in, they might be able to make an animated film.

I think MARVEL/Disney did manage to get the televised rights back from Sony. That in turn is also what probably caused 'the Spectacular Spider-Man' to get cancelled as that was a series formed from Sony originally.

Either way an animated film would be awesome! I seriously hope they consider using mildly bigger names for the roles (Still hoping we get Joseph Gordon-Levitt or Bret Harrison for Peter Parker/Spidey). Take a look at DC's animated films and look at the actors they have managed to bring in, especially for an animated feature (James Woods, Kyra Sedgwick, Bruce Greenwood). Even in their shorts they managed to bring in Alyssa Milano (The Spectre) , Thomas Jane (Jonah Hex), Linda Hamilton (Jonah Hex), etc. MARVEL really needs to step up as it looks like DC is becoming their cinematic rival as well as animated.
