Hello and I'm John Jones aka The Comic Critic,

The Marvel cinematic universe is growing in size with the announced of many of our favorites getting their own solo feature film plus being added among the lines of The Avengers. Well not all favorites too me because their is one character that concerns me alot. Ant-Man. It's not because I think the idea of shrinking in the middle of battle is ridiculous, it is not because I think a genius would waste millions of bucks to build a device that controls only ants rendering it pointless. I am more concerned over the subject involving, a fear of bugs. Yes many people today hold a fear to these small insects such as ants. If you add in this character it could potentially ruined The Avengers in terms of audience size and box office records. Now I know people say Batman still has a large audience watchin him because he is called (Bat)man. Well I don't see him keeping a pet bat around so no. How about Spider-Man, yes he is another character involved in this so called problem. Next to a fear of bugs such as ants, a fear to spiders has been known past this decade and before. But Spider-Man in this problem I am describing comes out as only a minor factor since he still looks like a human but has spider powers. If Spider-Man was an actual giant spider yes it would cause more of a major issue such as the Ant-Man conflict I am talking about now.

Now to come to logical sense Ant-Man has an army of ants while also riding an ant such as a cowboy rides a horse. But with logic we know a horse is not an insect and a cowboy is not of scientific nature to say his character can not be changed at all unless adding a new element. Maybe instead we should not use ants for Ant-Man but interpret his other ability of shrinking as his only power and call him "The Shrink" or "Puny Man". I have to see this as a personal thing, I know people with a fear of ants a terrible one. I know a traumatizing story from a homeless man I talk to a while back. I decided to go out on my street one day he walked up to me we started talking and he told me this story of he lost his home. As he said the story goes as he told me "I was eating in my kitchen a nice steak meal when all of a sudden a bunch of ants crawled on my plate, I never noticed until I took a bite" so yeah as his story goes he soon finds his kitchen filled mile high high crawling with ants and soon his whole house with ants and he had no choice but to run out of his house and never go back. He never told me where the ants came from because he was unsure to and he left everything behind when he left he also told me. I can't remember the homeless guy's name I think it was Macky Bigsik but he said he lost everything because of ants and now he fears them so much he had a shovel he carrys and everytime he sees an ant he says he smashes them with the shovel often going on deranged ant killing sprees. So what about other people with this type of extreme fear to ants or other types of bugs. How would you feel being one of them coming across an Ant-Man poster with a huge ant on the front of the posters. It's a fear people this stuff ain't rootin tootin funny at all for all the darn diddly things in this world you can have this is becoming a big scary problem and I will not emphasize on it again for now. So while you sip on your drinks like a rich fancy pale cracker jack lookin mfsob think about the people with these fears and how serious it can be for Marvel potentially losing fans of their films.

I apollogize for bad grammar/marks in advance because my keyboard is broken and some of my keys on my keyboard has been messed around when a prankster broke in my apartment and did that. Well nothing stolen just a messed up a keyboard l know weird huh. Sadly my dog was sleeping away when it all happened.

If you have any comments or suggestions please feel fry and I will try to respond when I have time.

Yes. I adore Jacky Jones's post. Even before I read them, I laugh. This is a new way of thinking. You deserve your own reality show. I'd watch. Also: so much for a "guard dog", eh? lol.

"But with logic we know a horse is not an insect"

But, seriously, from stating the obvious to your anecdote about the homeless fellow, this was a great article.
