Fan cast for Captain America!

This is the begining of my continuity for my very own take on the Marvel Universe!

DIRECTOR:

Andrew Davis (The Fugitive, Collateral Damage, Holes): From Mr. Davis' resume, I felt he would be a great choice to direct something like Captain America. It was hard to figure out exactly who would fit the directors chair for this best, but of the names I had present in front of me, Davis seemed like the most capable.

WRITER:

David Koepp (Spider-Man, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Jurassic Park): Koepp certainly can write epic adventure stories, and with Cap that seems like the most likely direction you should go.

Ryan McPartlin (Chuck) - Steve Rogers/Captain America: Ryan has an all around American look to him, and it goes without saying that he certainly looks like Steve Rogers. His acting is also essential to the character of Steve and frankly, he has a great level of gravitas that can carry him pretty far in the role.

Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) - James "Bucky" Barnes: Bucky is a pretty hard character to cast when you consider the history behind him. He is a very important part to Steve's life and later on, Bucky winds up becoming The Winter Solder and Captain America. With this in mind, it was difficult to cast the role but after some quick thinking I came to the conclusion that Frank Dillane could fit the bill.

Elias Koteas (Shutter Island) - Johann Schmidt/The Red Skull: Elias Koteas is not a German actor, but he has a great level of talent and could definantly come up with a great German accent that would work hand in hand with the Red Skull. Koteas can play a great villain as well and I am positive he would do wonders with the role.

Ginnifer Goodwin (Walk the Line) - Peggy Carter: Peggy Carter is not necessarily a hard character to cast, but none the less you should not be lazy with casting her either. I felt like Ginnifer just had the right look and easily could pass as Peggy. I did not want to cast an actress that looked like she has movie star looks, I wanted to cast an actress that had great ability and looked like an average joe, BUT STILL looked pretty.

William Hurt (A History of Violence) - General Chester Phillips: William Hurt can display a numerously giant amount of intensity on screen and no doubt fits a role like General Chester Phillips better then most other actors. Keep in mind, these films are NOT meant to be in the same continuity as the actual films so I can reuse actors from other Marvel roles.

Alice Eve (She's Out of My League) - Betsy Ross/Golden Girl: Golden Girl was a frequent ally of Steve's in The Invaders. I wanted to cast an actress that would fit the look of the character and could beleivably look like a girl that would team up with heavy hitting men in a superhero team.

Daniel Craig (Casino Royale) - James Falsworth/Union Jack: Frankly there is not a whole lot of creativity put into this casting, but I could not pass up the chance of casting Bond himself in this.

Doug Jones (Hellboy) - Jim Hammond/The Human Torch: Doug Jones is experienced in motion capture and just amounts to the right qualities for Jim Hammond.

Jamie Johnston (Degrassi: The Next Generation) - Thomas Raymond/Toro: Johnston is a cool young actor, so I figured he was suitable for Jim Hammond's sidekick.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers (From Paris With Love) - Namor McKenzie/Namor the Sub-Mariner: Jonathan is a fan favorite for Namor and I could not agree more with the idea.

Christopher Walken (Catch Me If You Can) - Dr. Abraham Erskine: Walken is one of the greatest recognized actors of today and his resemblance to Erskine is not too shabby.

Kurt Russell (Escape from New York) - Nick Fury

Ray Winstone (The Departed) - Dum Dum Dugan

Josh Hartnett (30 Days of Night) - Dino Manelli

Gary Dourdan (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) - Gabriel Jones

Chace Crawford (The Covenant) - Rebel Ralston

Hope you guys like it!
