This article will excite Lee777, hey man. Rockeeter is my favorite movie too:). Anyway, Since Captain America is now in the pre-production stages, we will start getting more and more news when it comes to the cast. Casting the cap seems like a hard endeavor, but there is one man and one man only to portray the main villain of Captain America, The Red Skull, and that man is Daniel Day Lewis. In my first Fan Casting I picked him and gave a small reasoning why He should be. Here I'm gonna explain it on a deeper level. Daniel Day Lewis is considered a real artist when it comes to acting. He envelopes his mentality to the person he's playing. His film My Left Foot he devoted himself for that role, even sitting in the wheel chair between takes. I seen parts of Gangs of New York, most of the bloody opening, and its very well made, That's where I seen DDL as a true villain, he was into this role so well, that it amazed me that he didn't kill real people in the movie.lol. The movie that made me appreciate the man was There Will Be Blood. I saw the movie all the way through in a fancy movie theater in south New Jersey. First off, the movie was LONG as hell and visually beautiful, but the only thing worth about it was Daniel's performance as Daniel Plainview. We see him as this obsessed man who will do anything to make his money and only cares about his money. The best scene that made me teary eyed was the church scene. The other best scene was the ending moments with him and the kid in the bowling room. These contributions are what can give him the most amazing portrayal of the Red Skull. How they should make the Red Skull as a atmospheric force. When you see him you should be frightened by him. He is a man set in his own ways and won't back down from the Nazi ideals. Joe Johnston should make Red Skull not an offensive villain where he and Captain America should duke it out, but he should be portrayed as a psychological villain, someone who can mess with your head and manipulate people easily. If need be they should fight, Red Skull should be more of a strength based rather than athletic(no jumps or flips) based villain. The best way of putting it, make him the Heath Ledger Joker version of the this villain. This man and that performance would give comic book movies better recognition when reward season comes rolling into town. I have high hopes for this movie and hopefully we get a stellar cast and a great set-up for the Avengers. A quick note, I dont like the title, First Avenger: Captain America...he's technically not the first, he didn't join until after the group was formed, Its a slight nit-pick but it won't concern the mainstream.BlackAirs OUT!!
