FAN CAST: Green Lantern

I made this fan cast for the Green Lantern rooted in the grounds of a DC Film Universe...

I really am invested in doing these fan casts so I can show you all who it is I would cast for each DC character, and also showing off my own overall DC Film Universe. This Green Lantern fan cast is made to be in the same continuity as my Batman fan cast (that you can check out if you click my name) and mainly and most importantly a Green Lantern cast. Mind everyone, this is not my "reboot" cast, it is my own personal cast. :)

DIRECTOR

CHRISTIAN ALVART (Pandorum, Antibodies, Case 39): After watching Pandorum I realised that the brilliant Christian Alvart could be one of the most promising directors to be handed a film adaption of the Green Lantern. His visual style shown in Pandorum would be absolutely amazing in a Green Lantern film and he is a respectable director who is still new.

GEOFF STULTS (She's Out of My League, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, The Break-Up) as HAL JORDAN/THE GREEN LANTERN: The moment I first saw Geoff Stults I thought I was looking at Hal Jordan. He looks the part great and his acting is pretty good, he would own Hal Jordan if he ever played the character. Also, down the line I would absolutely love to see Wes Bentley as Batman and Geoff as Green Lantern hanging out in the Justice League.

KATE BECKINSALE (Underworld: Evolution, Van Helsing, The Aviator) as CAROL FERRIS: I wanted to cast an actress that could both be a simple love interest for Hal but down the line could play the villainous Star Sapphire. Kate Beckinsale certainly has the look of Carol and could without a doubt play Star Sapphire.

RHYS IFANS (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Hannibal Rising, Elizabeth: The Golden Age) as HECTOR HAMMOND: It was a little difficult to cast Hector Hammond, but I figured out Rhys Ifans was the actor I visualised best in the role.

RALPH FIENNES (Red Dragon, Clash of the Titans, The Duchess) as SINESTRO: Sinestro was definantly the hardest character to cast because throughout the comics he is such a complicated character, which means an incredible actor should be sought out for it. I decided to go with Ralph Fiennes, a great actor who I have never seen suggested for the role before. I can easily imagine Ralph as Sinestro with CGI and makeup added to him.

PETER MENSAH (300, Jason X, Spartacus: Blood and Sand) as ABIN SUR: Peter Mensah is probably best known for his short role in 300 in the scene where he exclaims "THIS IS MADNESS!" and is then pushed into the pit. Mensah is a great actor and for me he looks like Abin Sur and he could certainly pull off a performance that would be worth while.

SAM ELLIOTT (The Big Lebowski, Hulk, The Golden Compass) as CARL FERRIS: Sam is a great actor and I just feel he looks very much like Carl Ferris.

ADAM BEACH (Flags of Our Feathers, The Stranger, Skinwalkers) as THOMAS KALMAKU: I think Adam Beach is a pretty good actor and he just has the look of Thomas Kalmaku down really well.

DARAN NORRIS (The Spectacular Spider-Man, Samurai Jack, Foster's Hope for Imaginiary Friends) as PARALLAX: Parallax is a very basic character, really all that would be needed of Norris is to roar and all that stuff...

DOUG JONES (Hellboy, Cyrus, Legion) as TOMAR-RE: Jones is one of the only actors I could easily see as Tomar-Re.

CHRISTOPHER ATKINS (The Hard Ride, Forget Me Not, Prism) as SALAAK: I think Atkins would be a great Salaak...

KEVIN MICHAEL RICHARDSON (TMNT, Teen Titans, Planet Hulk) as KILOWOG: Kevin Michael Richardson's voice is perfect for Kilowog. I would hope that he actually gets the role someday...

WES BENTLEY (The Last Word, The Four Feathers, P2) as BRUCE WAYNE/BATMAN: In order to tie Batman and Green Lantern together, I wanted Bentley to appear at the end as Batman to offer Hal a spot in the Justice League.
