Christian Bale - Bruce Wayne/Batman
Jeff Bridges - Bruce Wayne/Batman
Bridges’ resume is truly impressive, he has more than what is needed to portray Batman in a later point in his life. This interpretation would also be a version of an older Dark Knight consistent with Bale's performance in the current films.
Gary Oldman - James Gordon
Ian McKellen - James Gordon
Ian Mckellen is one of the most brilliant actors to date and would be a perfect replacement for Gary Oldman as the 70 year old Commissioner in The Dark Knight Returns.
Logan Lerman - Dick Grayson/Robin
A rising star and potentially amazing Robin if the role was really fleshed out, making him more emotionally driven and conflicted between his desire for revenge over the death of his family and the ideal of justice Bruce has begun to show him.
Ian Somerhalder - Dick Grayson/Nightwing
Somerhalder on the other hand can portray an older, mature and slightly mysterious version of Nightwing as he has been absent from Batman’s life for the past few years. This could also add some emotional turmoil when he returns to Batman’s life.
Haley Ramm - Barbra Gordon/Batgirl
I chose Ramm because she would look good on-screen with Lerman as the Caper Crusaders side-kicks. She hasn’t really had a breakthrough performance as of yet, but her turn as an athletically talented and sharp Batgirl struggling to become vigilante in her own right could earn her recognition.
Bryce Dallas Howard - Barbra Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle
Bryce Dallas Howard is a captivating and talented actress and is an ideal pick to play an older, emotionally developed and strong Barbra Gordon after her paralysis.
Evan Rachel Wood - Dr. Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy
After watching Evan in True Blood as Queen Sophie Anne I couldn’t think of a better actress to play the dangerous but seductive villainess. I see Nolan’s interpretation of her using hazardous Bio-tech of some sort using natural pheromones and toxins, like in the current series. OR if Nolan’s brave enough he could make her actually control plants due to some sort of chemical derived from or combined with, a plant which enhances the kinetic side of her brain or something like that. Which could even be Venom which she finds after Bane is killed?
Jena Malone - Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn
I‘ve chosen Jena Malone as I believe she could deliver a truly chilling performance as a former doctor and current schizophrenic influenced by the Joker whilst she worked at Arkham, this would keep her character in line with Nolan’s use of realism. Or, (this isn’t my best idea but I’ll share it anyway), she could emerge later on, closer to the years of ‘The Dark Knight Returns’, claiming she is the daughter of the Joker come back for revenge.
Annalynne McCord - Ellen Yindel
I this she could be introduced early on as Gordon’s semi-protégé trying to prove herself to the Commissioner but doesn’t agree with the vigilante system Gotham’s adopted. McCord hasn’t done many roles with depth so think could see her explore a more interesting side to her.
Michelle Pfeiffer - Ellen Yindel
I’ve chosen Pfeiffer for her older counterpart as they resemble each other a lot and the phenomenal strength of her acting, to me she could pull off any role. But having Michelle in the new Batman films would also be a nice nod to the previous franchise.
Nicola Peltz - Stephanie Brown/Spoiler/Robin
Defiantly one of Young Hollywood’s up and coming actresses, after ‘The Last Airbender’ she needs to add new credibility to her name. She’s young beautiful and could possibly be a convincing Stephanie Brown if given the right resources. It wouldn’t be hard to picture her as the spunky female Robin turned Batgirl.
Scarlett Johansson - Stephanie Brown/Batgirl
Johansson would then be the ideal future follow-on from Nicola to play a sexy more developed Stephanie, trying making her mark in Gotham as the new Batgirl.
Chloe Moretz - Carrie Kelley/Robin/Catgirl
This rising starlet’s role of Hit-Girl garnered her much critical acclaim in the comic book fandom. Her acting style would see her become the gritty and tough depiction of Carrie Kelley which would fit into Nolan’s films style.
I've casted mostly the female roles because I felt that they would be easiest for me to do. If people like this cast I'll post the rest of my choices.
This is my first post so go easy on me, I'm New!
