FAN-ticizing: How a Justice League movie could be brought together

My thoughts on the recently announced Justice League movie and how it may work on the big screen.

Everyone here knows about DC’s attempts to bring us a Justice League movie soon in 2013. We’ve all heard about what they plan on doing to Batman and Superman and we’ve all spent our time on figuring out how to make things work. I thought I’d present my idea to the table. It’s mostly a way of interconnecting the stories of each character.

First of all, with Batman and Superman, you have to pick different actors the way DC is doing it. So I thought with these new actors in the JL movie, you could have them reference the older movies for a vague sort of continuity. For instance, Batman referencing the days of when he first started out (Batman Begins) and mentioning how everything has changed so much since then. Same thing with Superman. During the movie you could then have Bat and Sup run into each other on a cross city mission of sorts. Later, they might decide to arrange a formal meeting with each other.

I thought that would be a good idea to give it a sort of continuity with previous films and to show how the characters meet. Then you could have Batman and Superman scouring the world for other crime fighters to “form a team” and in turn meeting Green Lantern, Flash and Wonder Woman (leave Aquaman and Martian Manhunter out for the first movie please). They decide to name the team “The Justice League” and they team up to stop a powerful threat of some sort.

Oh, and another issue people have been having with Justice League is the amount of screen time dedicated to each character and how to balance that out. I’d say for the first half of the movie focus on the big hitters (Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern)then for the second half of the movie show The Flash and Wonder Woman showcasing their strengths. And for those who think you would have to have Flash & Wonder woman movies first, this could be a way of introducing them with their own solo movies being prequels to this.

I think this would be an excellent way of introducing new characters and having a sort of continuity between films and showing that a DC movie-verse could happen. If you have any suggestions on what I should add or do entirely then please feel free to comment. I hope you think this would be a great way of making a Justice League movie work.

I think that sounds great. I wrote an article similiar earlier today. Check it out? I think your ideas would fit well. I had an idea on darkseid being the main villain recruiting lex to destroy each prison in each heros city giving batman and superman a reason to recruit other heroes because gathering so many thugs and super villains alone would be exausting.(much like what bane did to batman to exaust him before breaking him)

The only way to make a Justice League movie work is use the one on Smallville plus the Wonder Woman from the new TV Series.

i did read your article and i thought it was great. I think Darkseid with a small number of supporting villains would be pretty cool for the first movie. How about having a JL trilogy with Darkseid as hte main villain for the whole thing?

Here's my dream- they start it off with an older Batman (Micheal Keaton) needing some kind of help from a younger Superman (Tom Welling), and then the others get involved during the movie.

I think the trilogy is an awsome idea. That could definitley work. Keaton not so much, the guys kinda old now and don't think he can muscle up like bale. Here's a question for you guys though, the batsuit+ black armor or grey sports/spandex(the dark knight style or the arkham games style?)
