FANCAST: Civil War!!! The Big Marvel Event! All Original Casting! No MCU Re-Cast!

FANCAST: Civil War!!! The Big Marvel Event! All Original Casting! No MCU Re-Cast!

Following a catastrophic tragedy caused by superhumans, the US Government passes a Super-Human Registration Act that requires all super-powered individuals in the country to reveal their identities, disclose their powers and personal details, and register as government employees or risk indefinite incarceration. This causes a deep rift in the hero community, with some backing the Act while others oppose it. A fan cast with all new choices for all the heroes! No recast for any of the characters from the MCU.

After the super-villain Nitro sets off an explosion in Stamford, CT, killing the New Warriors and hundreds of innocents, the American Government, blaming the super-hero community for these deaths, enforces a Super-Human Registration Act that forces super-heroes to reveal their secret identities and work for the government, labeled as weapons of mass destruction. This doesn't sit well with some heroes and the Super-Hero community is divides into sides: Iron Man's Pro-Registration Act team enforced by S.H.I.E.L.D. and its new director Maria Hill, and Captain America's Anti-Registration Act team called the Secret Avengers. This separation causes a super-human Civil War that pits the two teams against each other physically and morally.

The Civil War has many consequences including the separation of the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, the revelation of Spider-Man's secret identity to the world, the departure of the Thing to France, the death of Goliath and finally the death of Captain America himself at the end of the War.

All of these choices are original. By original I mean I do not re-cast any character. This is not associated with the MCU. I only have one more thing to say to you…Which side are YOU on…?

Pro Registration

Matt Bomer would make for an awesome Iron Man. If you’ve ever seen him on white collar you know he is perfect for the part.

Patrick Wilson would make an excellent Reed Richards. Yes you have seen this pic before, but he is IMHO the best choice for Mr. Fantastic.

Nathan Fillion would make an awesome Hank Pym. He is the acting chops to do it and the right look in my opinion.

Autumn Reeser would make a great Wasp. She can play a strong female character and that’s what Wasp needs to be.

Adrianne Palicki would be an AMAZING She-Hulk. She can definitely play a strong female character, which is a quality you must have if you are going to play She-Hulk.

Emily Blunt would do great in this role. She’s sexy and talented. Which is a must for this role.

Michael Jai White is the true definition of BAD@$$. He is an AMAZING martial artist and can act as well. Check out Blood & Bone 1 & 2, Undisputed 1 & 2 and Black Dynamite to see what I mean.

She’s tall beautiful and can act. What more do you need for Ms. Marvel?

Alexander Skarsgard would own this role. There’s coldness to Sentry that just comes with the character and I think that Alexander Skarsgard could pull that coldness off.

Sam Worthington is my choice for Thor so it only made sense that I used him for Thor’s clone as well.

Anti Registration

Jensen Ackles has the feel to him that I want Cap to have. He has a very commanding voice as well that would do nothing, but add more depth to the performance.

Aaron Johnson is Spider Man. He would make a great Peter Parker and Spiderman. He has the look and the acting ability to play this role.

Luke Cage is one of the most tough CB characters to cast. Why Omari Hardwick and not The Rock, Terry Crews, Tyrese, Isaiah Mustafa, Idris Elba, Henry Simmons, Michael Jai White or Rampage Jackson? Well Omari Hardwick is an incredible actor (unlike Rampage), He’s young enough to start a new franchise (unlike Terry Crews, Idris Elba, the Rock or Michael Jai White), He’s hard (unlike Tyrese, Henry Simmons and Isaiah Mustafa), and finally he is fully Black (Rock). You might be saying right now The Rock is partially black!!! Yes you’re right, but one reason the Luke Cage deserves his own movie and to be on film is to let young black boys look at the screen and say I wanna be Luke Cage!!! He also shows young black males that you can restart your life and have a better life no matter what your past is (considering Luke was incarcerated). That’s a message needed with all of the blacks in prison right now.

You know you can’t argue with this. After his role in Dredd he convinced me that he would be the perfect choice for the Punisher.

Yes Danny Rand (Iron Fist) was Daredevil during the civil war. I think Gosling would make an awesome Danny. He has the look, acting ability and the attitude to do so.

Aldis Hodge would make an excellent Falcon. He has the acting ability to play the role. And a plus is that he does parkour, which may or may not be needed, but is still useful.

Goliath…The giant who fell. Nate Parker would make an exceptional Goliath. He is a good actor and has a good look as well.

After seeing him as Khal Drogo and Conan I know that Jason Momoa could play Hercules.

Okay, I did re-cast 1 person, but he honestly would make a great Human Torch. He could easily play the silly side and the serious sides. Both of those sides are shown in Civil War. Why does it matter that he’s black anyway? Would that ruin the portrayal of Johnny Storm does it change his character other than the color of his skin…NO

If Johnny Storm is black then I think Sue should be too. Paula Patton would honestly be great as Sue. She’s hot and talented 2 things I feel are needed for the role of Sue Storm.I’ve seen some people say Oh well Sue can be white if Johnny is adopted!! I find that Ironic, seeing as how the whole reason people say they don’t want a black human torch is because it changes the source material. If he’s black it doesn’t change his personality or his character. If you make him adopted just to make the team predominantly white then you’re changing the source material even further! People these days.
(-_-) ( -_) ( -_-) (_-)SMH.

Neutral

Jonathan R. Meyers has the swagger that Dr. Strange needs. He could easily play this character and he would do it well.

Deadpool. The Merc With the Mouth!! Scott Adkins gets the chance to redeem himself from the first horrible portrayal of Deadpool in X-Men Origins Wolverine. he did do awesome with what he was given, he was just given sh*t. Nolan North gets to voice him because he has the perfect voice for Deadpool. He voiced Deadpool in his video game and di an amazing job!

\
Jennifer Lawrence would make a great Black Cat. She can act and she’s hot. 2 Must for the role of Black Cat.

Jeffery Dean Morgan would make an awesome Thing. He can play the rought and tough Ben Grimm. Thing would be motion captured.

Tom Hardy I feel would own as Wolverine. He’s a great actor and has the build for it. He’s an honest badass and that’s a must for Wolverine. He’s also not that tall standing at 5’9.

Well that’s it for this cast. Tell me what you thought of it! DEUCES

Aside from your Daredevil, your choice is PERFECT

You realize I was basically casting Iron Fist. During Civil War Danny Rand was Daredevil

If anything for Iron Man, I would personally go with Patrick Dempsey if they were to ever reboot Iron Man because if anything he would easily be able to make us think of Robert Downey Jr. in terms of being the playboy but having the arrogance/sense of humor but also having the intellect too not that Matt Bomer wouldn't be a great choice for Iron Man, he would be but at the same time I just can't picture it

Definitely agree with you on Patrick Wilson being Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic

Nathan Fillion would be perfect as Ant-Man/Hank Pym if they do in fact make Ant-Man, but another choice I would go with in the role of Ant-Man would be Ewan McGregor

As Wasp, I love Autumn Reeser but personally I would probably go with either Mila Kunis or even Olivia Wilde

As She-Hulk, definitely agree with you about Adrianne Palicki because she would be so great in the role and not to mention she would make the role her own

But as Black Widow, I would go with Eva Green instead

I agree with you on your Bishop, Sentry, and Ms. Marvel picks but as Ragnarok I would go with Johann Urb

As Captain America I would either go with Chris Pine or even Garrett Hedlund not that Jensen Ackles is a bad pick because he isn't, I actually could see him as Cap but at the same time I would go with either Pine or Hedlund

As Spider-Man/Peter Parker I would go with Connor Paolo or even Chris Massoglia

I will agree with your Luke Cage pick, because he would be so great in the role but your Punisher pick Karl Urban screams epic so I will give you that, Karl Urban should play Frank Castle/Punisher in a reboot

As Daredevil I would go with Jensen Ackles because he would actually fit the role of Danny Rand even though Ryan Gosling would be great in the role

And your Falcon and Goliath picks are very inspired so I won't even harp on it at all but as Hercules I would go with Joe Manganiello

But if they are seriously going to make The Human Torch and the Invisible Woman black then Michael B. Jordan and Paula Patton would be great in both roles but if they do end up keeping the characters white then Alex Pettyfer and Alice Eve would be perfect in that case

Yes finally someone who agrees with me about Jonathan Rhys Meyers playing Dr. Strange, because this right here would be epic think about it, Rhys Meyers fits this role so perfectly

As Deadpool personally I would cast Sean William Scott as Wade Wilson/Deadpool

As Black Cat I would go with Jennifer Lawrence too, so I will agree with you on this pick and I agree with you on Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Thing/Ben Grimm

But as Wolverine, yes Tom Hardy is the best pick for Logan/Wolverine if they ever re-boot X-Men or even reboot Wolverine in general then Tom Hardy would fit Logan/Wolverine personality wise and looks wise

Awesome cast. Glad people are starting to pick up my choice for Wolverine.

JDM as Grimm is wonderful and Black Cat is spot on.

The only one I don't like is your Thor/Ragnarok choice. Worthington is not only a dry actor, but he's 5'10 with a very small frame.

- I too like Autumn Reeser as Wasp.
- Adrianne Pallicki doesn't have any comic timing that may convince me she would be She-Hulk. Lake Bell should be ideal; she has an amazing body and strong comic timing.
- Nice to see my picks from my Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt make an appearance. Michael Jai White would make for an excellent Bishop. But I don't know if I see Lawrence as the Black Cat. I think the character is an adult at this period as is Peter Parker. If you want to cast Lawrence as another Marvel character, how about Lady Deadpool?
- We both have Rachel Nichols for Ms. Marvel! You da man!
- Switch the roles you have Sam Worthington and Alexander Skarsgaard for around, and they'd be perfect.
- Spider-Man should be played by an adult considering that's where Peter Parker's at during the Civil War comics.
- Bad news: Omari Hardwick is 5'10". If you want, there's an actor named Mike Coulter (The Ringer). He stands at 6'3", and is relatively young enough (37 years old).
- I could see Ryan Gosling as Iron Fist more than Daredevil. Good call.
- I love Nolan North's work as Deadpool. Better than John Kassir, I'll tell you that much.

Overall, an amazing cast!
