It can be said that Bats after Nolan doesn't need a reboot. But, it could be a cool thing, depending on how they do it, because so far we haven't gotten a perfect Batman series. I'm tired of the realism tbh.

Batman is complex and dark, but the fantastical elements are as much a part of the greatness of the mythos too.

In my reboot, I would see a Batman that actually plays up his detective skills, an intelligent man who looks for clues and pieces together evidence, they don't call him The Worlds Greatest Detective for no reason.

I want to see Bruce tinkering with his gadgets in the batcave, making things even scientists wouldn't think of, and definitively show his genius-level intellect.

I want to see a Batman who puts his fighting skills to good use, Bruce is supposed to be fluent in many forms of Martial Arts, after all. The stealth part of Bats needs to be portrayed too, using his environment and all.

The films also need to be more parts noir this time around, and have the art deco environment that I feel fits perfectly with Gotham, as it did in BTAS.

I also thought I would state how Batman should be portrayed for much of the movie, I think Burton got it right, I like the way one reviewer put it, "Burton shot Batman as a horror movie, with Batman as the horror", or something like that. Thats how he should be shown to criminals, in all his badass glory.

These elements I think, could make for a badass, six-part Batman epic. Now that I've established that, its time for the cast.

In the original version of the story and the vast majority of retellings, Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne, an American millionaire (later billionaire) playboy, industrialist, and philanthropist. Having witnessed the murder of his parents as a child, he swore revenge on crime, an oath tempered with the greater ideal of justice. Wayne trains himself both physically and intellectually and dons a bat-themed costume in order to fight crime. Batman operates in the fictional American Gotham City, assisted by various supporting characters including his crime-fighting partner, Robin, his butler Alfred Pennyworth, the police commissioner Jim Gordon, and occasionally the heroine Batgirl. He fights an assortment of villains such as the Joker, the Penguin, Two-Face, Poison Ivy and Catwoman. Unlike most superheroes, he does not possess any superpowers; he makes use of intellect, detective skills, science and technology, wealth, physical prowess, martial arts skills, an indomitable will and intimidation in his continuous war on crime.

The man of the hour, Batman

Batman is a hard character to cast. Theres many folks out there who have the looks to be Bruce. Then within that group, the talent to be Bruce Wayne. But then you hit where it should be the most strong, Batman. No actor but Jon Hamm, to me can pull off both Bruce and Bats perfectly. In Mad Men, he already has that mysterious, dapper Bruce Wayne-quality to him. And its without a doubt in my mind that his Batman would be more than epic. His Mad Men Character, Don Draper just proves his acting skill, and his amazing bravado, he would be like combining Christian Bale Bruce with Keatons Bats, except, dare I say it, Better, and much more epic.

Alfred 'Badass' Pennyworth

In the series, I think a fresh new take on Alfred would be cool. Earth:Ones Alfred is a badass, and on-screen could still have tht mentor quality, just with much more energy and swagger. Jeremy Irons could fit the bill, hes one of the most under-rated actors to me and hes well deserving of praise, I loved him in Die Hard, and his voice acting as Scar in the Lion King.

OR

Alfred 'Butler' Pennyworth

But for a more traditional route, John Cleese fits. Besides being that exact spitting image of Alfred, he has shown to be more than just a comedian, and watching him interact with Pierce Brosnans James Bond convinced me he could be perfect.

Commissioner Gordon

We all Know Bruce. Hes a complete badass and one of my favorite actors. And hes proven to be more than just an action star in films such as Twelve Monkeys and The Sixth Sense, which he really shined in. But I chose him because it would be epic to see a more 'hands-on' and badass Gordon this time around. Bruce definitely has the right intensity for it.

Vicki Vale

I absolutely love Emily, shes just too beautiful. And a wonderful actress, too. Shes really shined in The Devil Wears Prada, as well as The Adjusment Bureau, where she put in a really great performance, all she needs is to make her hair the right shade of red, and shes good to go.

Dick Grayson/Nightwing

Garrett Hedlund has proven his badassery as of late (and even has a noticably deep voice perfect for Dick), in Tron: Legacy, Four Brothers, and especially in Death Sentence, which was a great performance on his part. He'd be a good fit for Dick , who, I, Like many others, prefer as Nightwing, and I'd keep him like in B:TAS, a young college student.

Barbara Gordon

Oh how I love Lyndsy Fonseca. Ever since Kick-Ass, Lyndsys been on my radar, shes just mind-blowingly beautiful and sexy, and I really liked in Hot-Tub Time Machine too, and she kicks ass in Nikita. It boils down to her being a perfect fit for Barbara, who in this would be Dick's love interest, and around the same age.

Renee Montoya

Like MrMurdock would tell you, Jordanas amazing, she can do anything she wants and be fantastic in it. Shed be great as a badass, and it only helps that shes of hispanic heritage.

Lucius Fox

You may know Dennis from 24 and The Unit, and hes been one of the greatest assetts of both those shows, but his voice is just epic, and you hear it on TV all the time, in all of his All-State commercials. Dennis is just an awesome dude, and an under-rated one who would fare well as Fox.

The Joker

Joaquin is an amazing actor, Period. Look at Walk The Line, he Became Johnny Cash. And from Signs to We Own The Night, his range is seemingly limitless. He would be a frickin batshit crazy Joker, and still be able to give the charater depth, and portray all of his layers, hes the only person in my mind who could rival Heath's performance, and actually do it better.

Harley Quinn

Isla has played crazy in The Wedding Crashers and was also fantastic in the otherwise sucky Confessions of a Shopaholic. But her sweet and innocent look and ability to play both serious, and outrageously crazy makes her a perfect cantidate.

The Riddler

Crispin is the fan-favorite for The Joker, and I can see why, he has the looks as well as having always played creepy characters. But I can't see him being perfect in the role. I think if he played The Riddler as a demented, creepy yet intellegent freak, he could actually do the character justice, because I dont want to see the hammy Nigma from Forever, and I don't think any of you do either.

Mr. Freeze

Mr. Freeze is probably my favorite of Bats villains, and the one that deserves to be redeemed of "Shoe-maker's" Butchering the most. He is a complex character, and a tragic one, and if he is portrayed correctly on-screen he could be possibly the best live-action villain to date, there is so much depth waiting to be tapped into. Ben Kingsley is the only actor I could think of with the caliber to Play Fries, just watch him in anything, hes Brilliant!

Harvey Dent/Two-Face

Harvey is my second-favorite Bats villain, and is also deserving of a great performance. Eckhart set the bar for Harvey Dent, but I believe my choice can be even better. Shannon is one of the best actors working today, at such a young age, he already has an intesity that can rival even Daniel-Day Lewis. His short, ruthless performance in Revolutionary Road alone explains his skills.

Catwoman

Now, I didn't even plan on including Catwoman here, but I thought that it couldn't be Batman without Catwoman. Full credit on the choice Goes to LEEE777, I found his pick and absolutely fell in love with it. Gugino is perfect, from looks to skill, I loved her in Watchmen and Sucker Punch, and she would make a perfect Selina Kyle, so Kudos to LEEE!

Ra's Al Ghul

I think Isaacs deserves the role, I mean he wasn't given Sinestro after having even voiced him, and hes voiced Ra's to perfection in Under The Red Hood, as well as having a great career under his belt, in Harry Potter and The Patriot alone.

Bane

Javier is the fan-favorite and I know why, the dudes frickin brilliant! He was absolutely cold, creepy and ruthless in No Country For Old Men and was amazing in Biutiful, too, and due to his stocky build he can get big enough with time, and cgi of course. But, just to have a choice thats more original I decided to put down Benicio as a second option for the voice, because hes consitently shown shown to be amazing as an actor especially in Traffic and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

That just about sums it up, guys! Please dont forget to comment and rate! They are well-appreciated!

I have to say...this is probably the best fancast I've ever seen. Everything about it is just about perfect. I'm unsure about Bane but Del Toro and Bardem are talented & full of surprises. Willis as a more hands-on Gordon would be genius. Shannon as Dent is great as well. But I think you hit the nail in the head with Phoenix as Joker & Hedlund as Nightwing. GREAT job!

Agree @Karyn. I'm just glad they're rebooting with a real threat for a villain. Hopefully it'll lead to Brainiac or Doomsday later on & keep Lex as a supporting character.
