Heroes For Hire FanCast

The good'ol Reverend is back with his best Fan Cast yet! Jeph Loeb let's hope you're paying attention cauz this is where you need to be taking Marvel TV...

When we found out that Marvel would be working on producing TV series, everyone got excited. Especially on this site it was unanimous that a Heroes For Hire show needs to be done. I absolutely agree but Jeph Loeb seems to think that rebooting the Hulk and Jessica Jones is the most profitable option. Well he's right!..

Unless he has my cast! I hand picked a team of stars that I think are the best people to fill these parts. The show I would watch, would be centered around Daniel Rand who returns to New York to find his best friend Luke Cage and his Hero for Hire business drowning in debt. Danny decides to buy out his friends business to save it from bankruptcy. Cage clearly didn't want saving but Danny being the business man he is knows he had no other choice...

As a writer there's so much drama to juice from a conflict like that. This is Luke Cage's company that he built from scratch and his best friends comes back to town and decides to make himself boss! Now add in the Daughters of the Dragon and Black Cat and you have a show that would captivate millions of viewers.

This is the perfect cast! See for yourself...

MAIN CAST:

First Off is Ryan Philippe as Danny Rand. I needed an A'ish list actor for the lead role to attract viewers... Ryan doesn't do movies that often so I figured he's perfect for the role. He knows how to fight and is a great actor all around.

Henry Simmons is my pick to play Luke Cage. He's best known for his time on "Shark". He's been bouncing around making one time appearances since. There's quite a few candidates for this role but I wanted someone younger than Terry Crews and better at acting than Tyrese Gibson!

Every hero needs a love interest and Iron Fist has Misty Knight. I picked Meagan Good for this role like I always do. She's hasn't done TV in a while she does movies every now and then. She was in Saw V and I happen to think no other actress fits this role more than she does.

Devon Aoki as Coleen Wing is an obvious choice. She looks exactly like the character does in the comics not to mention she was in Sin City! I she's already familiar with katana and other swords. She's just right for the part!

Black Cat completes my roster for the main cast. Sure she doesn't join the team until a lot later but that's minor details. Rosters for superhero show are whatever the creators decides. Elisha Cuthbert would be an amazing Black Cat. She has the acting skills and she definitely has the body. Check out "The Girl Next Door" if you don't believe me!

GUEST APPEARANCES:

NOW THAT'S THE GOOD GUYS... BUT WHO DO YOU THINK THEY SHOULD GO UP AGAINST?

I don't agree with your Danny pick...(I'm kinda a fan, if you couldn't tell), and I don't feel he is right.

Henry Simmons....he could be good, but he seems a little TOO pretty boy-ish to me...

The rest is superb, great job!

- Ryan Phillipe WOULD work as Iron Fist. Remember, folks, he knows karate.
- I'm getting back on the Henry Simmons as Luke Cage train. I went with Michael Jai White, because he has a voice, but we're going on height, so Simmons it is.
- Meagan Good doesn't seem like the bad-ass bitch to play Misty Knight. My choice would be Sydney Tamiia Poitier, who's 5'11" like the character, has the voice (watch "Death Proof"), and is a better actress.
- I like Devon Aoki. How come she's not in any movies anymore? This is a good choice, but seeing as we're basing characters on height, my pick would be Grace Park.
- Someone tell me where Elisha Cuthbert has fighting skills. Sure, she has sex appeal, but she can be a hell of a good actress. But seeing as you and JoshW like her in the role, I won't critique longer. What do you think of Leelee Sobieski; she knows martial arts and is really tall.
- I see you have my choice for Shang-Chi in there. Thumbs up.
- Joe Mangianello is height appropriate for Herc. But my favorite for the role is Dominic Purcell, seeing as he needs a good, juicy role like this in his resume.
- I like Taylor Cole. Though I'm a fan of Tina Fey as Jennifer Walters and Jennifer Carpenter as She-Hulk, seeing as they both look and act alike.
- I see we have alot of Legend of the Seeker fans on this site. Never heard of Katrina, but seeing as she played a biker chick in a movie, I might see that. Another choice would be Michelle Rodriguez, since she has the cocky bitch act down to an art.
- A Spartacus fan is amongst us. I don't know much of Jai Courtney's work to assist me in validating him for Scott Lang.
- Nice overall pick for Black Knight. Right height, and he played Lancelot in Merlin (so you know he has sword-fighting skills). I know who I'll replace Henry Cavill with in my future MI-13 fancast, since that guy's now playing Superman.

An overall impressive cast. Be sure you visit my Excalibur fancast when you get around to it.

Great cast, and would have a relatively low budget for the cast. I only question Henry Simmons as Cage. Good actor but he would need to work out a little more. I think Tyrese is still a better choice for Luke. A++

Thanks everyone!!

@ RoadDog - Who did I pick from Legend of the Seeker? I'm not denying that I'm a fan but Katrina Law is from Spartacus... I don't know the character much but considering she's a tiger turned into a woman. She probably wouldn't even speak at first and be all primal. Katrina kinda has that look.
As for Elisha Cuthbert me and JoshW alike know that she could easily learn to fight. Considering the rest of the cast and just her raw talent as an actress, she would catch on soon enough. I would like to see her in that role for the same reason you want to see Purcell as Herc. Meagan Good is all the bad-ass bitch you need. If these two were to get these roles it would do wonders to their career... Everyone starts somewhere!
