Clark Kent is already working at the Daily Planet and is secretly saving people in Metropolis and where ever his work as Clark Kent takes him, however he has no costume and is not known as Superman. Lois Lane and Clark are working on the story trying to get people to hear about and find out who the mystery savior is. Lex Luthor is the multi billionaire owner of LexCorp, one of the biggest Research and Development companies in the world and also has ties with Metropolis' mob, Intergang who helped him get to where he is now and use Luthor to supply them with advanced weapons from his company in return. Clark after seeing inspiration from other emerging heroes such as Batman and Green Lantern, decides that to fully embrace his heroism, needs a seperate identity instead of hiding behind his glasses and standing in the shadows, to show the world full of hope. Seeking help and guidance from his parents, Clark returns to Metropolis with a new purpose and a costume to go with it, becoming Superman.

Learking in the reaches of space, lies a threat with ties to Clark that he doesn't know, Brainiac. He comes in search of Earth's rich knowledge and culture, something not seen in most parts of the universe. Making contact with the most advanced company, LexCorp he makes a deal with Luthor to spare the planet in return for taking one of its cities, Metropolis. Luthor agrees but Brainiac's attention is stowed away by the sudden appearance of Superman, who Brainiac recognises as the last Kryptonian and also sharer of Krypton's knowledge. His new objective; to destroy Superman or rather keep him as another momento with his Kryptonian collection. Confronting Superman in a toe to toe fight, he realises he is no match for the Kryptonian's strength and is almost destroyed save for ship lying around Orbit in space. As he sends a probe containing his programming to Earth for Luthor to build him a new body, the worlds super powers launch an attack on Brainiac's ship, forcing Superman to save the astronauts in the ships sent to destroy Brainiac. Deciding to destroy Brainiac's ship himself, Superman finds hundreds of pieces of alien memorabilia scattered throughout the ship from worlds destroyed by Brainiac. One world, Krypton is drawned to Superman and telekinetically makes contact with him and fills his mind with images of his origin and escape from his homeworld. He takes the globe before destroying Brainiac's ship and throwing it toward the sun.

Hiding the Kryptonian Globe at the Kent Farm with his parents, he goes back to Metropolis to find Brainiac has returned and with Luthor at his side. Before he can react, more Brainiacs appear and reveal that he destroyed Superman's homeworld and will now destroy Superman for taking his ship and all the knowledge with it and he was foolish to try and hide some of it on Earth. As a Brainiac droid sets off to the Kent Farm, Superman battles the 6 droids on the streets of Metropolis working his way through them all. As the Brainiac drode reaches the Kent Farm, he is confronted by Jonathan Kent who he sweeps aside with ease and sends into a cardiac arrest. Destroying all of the drones, Superman races towards Smallville and destroys the last drode, to find his adoptive father dying in Martha's arms.

2 weeks later, Clark attends his father's funeral beside his mother Martha. Also in attendance; Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen. As he buries his father with the guilt of involving him in his affairs as Superman, he vows to keep his human side safe and away from his duty as Superman. At the same time, Lex Luthor is released from prison after paying his own bail and with a hatred for Superman that is destined to last forever. Superman takes the Kryptonian Globe and flies to the arctic circle placing it in the snow and watches as it grows into a criss crossing crystaline building. Entering he is greeted by a voice "Welcome home Kal-El".

CUT TO BLACK

Something like that I would be pleased with. It was obviously brief and I could write a script on it but now that Goyer has written a treatment, there is no need now. Hopefully something like that would please the masses. I do have another theory on the Fortress of Solitude. Instead of being like the previous Superman movies and Smallville's Fortress, it could be just a thing Clark Kent created when he was travelling the world and testing his powers, something he made using his Heat vision melting the ice and under ground. There is lots of possibilities. Enjoy!
