It would carry a theme from the rebooted Superman series in which Brainiac left Krypton searching the universe and attacked Apokolips in search of the Globe of Knowledge. Brainiac left after a mighty battle and arived on earth nearly destroyed which is where [Superman 2] picks up. Kalibak promises to find Brainiac and searches the universe for 2 years finding traces of Brainiac all over earth (Actuality Brainiac is hiding in LexCorp software until he can reboot). Kalibak tries to destroy Brainiac by destroying LexCorp but a battle with LexCorp soldiers erupts and Superman defeats Kalibak who escapes back to Apokolips via Boom Tube. Kalibak's attack has disrupted technlogy all over the earth. Darkseid then launches a full scale attack after Kalibak believes that a powerful Kryptonian is protecting Brainiac. Boom Tube's appear all over earth with a flood of Darkseid's army who begin attacking major cities across the earth. Heroes from around the earth defend their respective cities with Superman attempting to protect all of the earth by himself. He then begins getting strange voices and flashses in his head which he follows and finds a detective who shifts to reveal himself as the Martian Manhunter. They both conclud that earth will be destroyed unless a league is put togeter to stp Darkseid. While earth's armies and a special unit put together by Cadmus (Suicide Squad) fight bravely against the advanced aliens, Superman and Martian Manhunter begin recruiting heroes. They first approach Batman who at first denies but is convinced that the world is more than Gotham City and they need his intelligence and wit. They recruit Green Lantern Hal Jordan to the team due to his alien connections and also Aquaman who will stop the attacks on the water. They also bump into Flash who convinces them for him to join. Diana Prince of Themyscira is granted permission to leave to help earth defeat after Hera revealed the team being put together. She then interupts the meeting but is dismissed as a job for real heroes by Flash. She then demonstrates her powers and that the team needs a woman's touch. The Justice League is formed and they begin formulating a plan. They realise they need to destroy Darkseid who resides on the mothership in earth's orbit. If they destroy that, the Para-demons will retreat. Hal, Superman and Martian Manhunter then go and attack the mothership, while Wonder Woman and Flash protect Batman as he recovers damaged alien technology and begins unlocking it trying to find a way to defeat it. Aquaman goes around destroying the many staions located in the seas supplying Darkseid's forcs. Superman, Hal and J'onn quickly defeat the defences and begin to destroy the mothership causing it to cash out orbit. It falls and is about to destroy New York City so Superman, Hal and J'onn fly after it and just stop it from destroying the city. Superman tells Hal to call for back up from the Green Lantern corps. Darkseid bursts out of the ship and challenges Superman. J'onn and Superman attack Darkseid who proves to be very powerful, injuring J'onn. Batman and Lucius Fox unlock the technology in the batcave and he, Wonder Woman and Flash go to meet with J'onn, Superman and Hal. J'onn telepathically lets then know there lcoation while Superman battles Darkseid. The battles is epic and leaves a detructive path. Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash arrive and reveal that Darkseid holds the controller to his army and need it to destroy the army. Superman, Wodner Woman, a returned Hal, Flash and Batman then confront Darkseid while a thousand Green Lantern's back up earth's armies. Darkseid puts up a tough fight using his Omega beams to knock out Wonder Woman, Flash and Hal. Superman then distracts Darkseid as Batman sneaks and takes his controller before avoiding his Omega Beams. He then attaches it to a homemade virus and Darkseid's forces begin failing and are destroyed. Superman then defeats Darkseid who escapes back to Apokolips via Boom Tube promising to rebuild his army. The President personally thanks the Justice League at a presentation in which Superman speaks and thanks not only them, but also the more important heroes such as the armies, poliec officers and such. Hal, Superman, Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter are then seen throwing the many destroyed ships into the sun's direction. Brainiac then manages to reboot his programming to active. Fade to Black.
